Hey guys, I placed in a freeroll and then went from Step 0 to Step 3.

What would you guys do with a Step 3 ticket (worth $26) ?

- Play in a Step 3 SNG?

- Play a $26 MTT?

- $26 SNG?

- $26 Matrix SNG?

- Other possibilities?

Thanks

It's too bad they don't let you just cash out the ticket for T$ at FT, that would probably be smartest depending on your roll. But since you can't do that, I'd probably go with the $26 single table SNG. Probably best shot to turn the ticket into some real $. I've never tried a matrix SNG though. If you're good at those that might be a good option too.

Or if you don't want to be conservative, ignore me and go for a MTT. :)

haha thinking about the MTT. Or possibly trying to get Step 4, which would allow me to get in to the MiniFTOPS MainEvent. I'll wait until tomorrow and see what I'll want to do.

That's funny. That's exactly what I did with my Step 3 ticket last time Mini FTOPS was running. I didn't get it though. :)

Playing an MTT would just be hoping to get a lucky shot. If you play the matrix you're bound to get something in return if you're just looking to turn it into $.

I've won step 3 tickets many times, and went to the $26 matrix tourneys. I usually make between $20-$40. There was one time a few months ago when I played a $26 ko 6-player double stack tourney where I had about 5 ko's & I came in 14th. I made something like over $150.

Yeah, just did the $26 matrix tournament. Had the worst luck on 3 of the tables, finishing like 7th,8th, and 9th. Thankfully, I was able to win the 4th match, (My JQ vs his K7) and cashed $21.60 ($2.40 loss).

I now have about $25, easily the most I've ever had playing freerolls and steps.

I think I might try to satelitte into some FTOPS tournaments, and play some small amount SNGs. (1 + .10, 2 + .20, 4 + .40)

I'd say if you want the best shot of not going broke, grind some $1 SNG's or maybe even play some cash games.

I think the best shot is to go with the MTT. I generally turn out a final table and make good money. Just got to be patient.

Really?.....not good advice. "I generally turn out a final table" LOL

Definitely stick to a SnG when this situation occurs.

Yup yup, me too, that's what I meant. I pretty much always make the FT too when I play MTT's. That's why my ROI is 8000%. Mhmm...

:p
