Hello people. In 888 there are some 33 buy-in tournaments that have two versions: start with 5000 or with 50000. Obviously the blinds are also corresponding, in the 5000 begin of 20 and in the 50000 of 200, but I believe that the perpetration of the Stack on the player's side is different. What do you think, which one would you prefer?

On the surface it looks the same as you still start with 250bb. I don't think that's the significant difference and you have to look closer at the late registration time along with maybe how fast the blinds increase.

By perpetration do you actually mean perception? How a player sees 50k chips vs 5k? In the sense maybe there would be looser play with 50k starting stack?

Yes, I meant perception (sorry, google translate).

Actually in the 50000 the big blinds are 250, so you start with 200, while in the 5000 the blinds are 30, so you would have 166 blinds. In addition, in the 5000 the increment is every 12 minutes, while in the 5000 is every 15.

I played both and it seems to me that there is less all-in from the start in the 50000.

I don't think it's fundamental. The number of chips does not affect my patience, discipline or my pocket cards.

I don't think good players will change anything between the 2 stack sizes. I do think the perception of a larger stack would effect less skilled players and they would play looser with the larger stack even though there is very little difference. I would observe the quality of play/players and see if there are leaks that can be exploited

loose-aggressive players start gambling a little bit more in deep stacked tournaments. If you are patient enough, you'll be chipleading in no time against them

It really depends on where your edge is, $33 is considered mid stakes so I'm assuming the players will be somewhat decent with deep stacks. If you feel your edge is with short stack play then I'd play the 5k one. It all depends on the player pool really.

The question would be more precisely formulated about the number of blinds, probably.

5k is lots I prefer quicker games and it’s enough to play a few hands and not be short stacked.

The number of chips doesn't matter.
What matters is how many bbs I'm going to start.
For me with 25bbs in a regular tournament I'm still comfortable so I can get into the late record.
Still 20bbs if I'm regular I prefer them to 200bbs.
200bbs everyone tends to play more hands

It depends on when I want to enter the tournament. There are tournaments with 2 hours or more late registration. If I plan to enter the end of the late record it better be 50k chips. Now, if I'm going in from the beginning, it doesn't really matter how many chips I have.

Interesting question
Since it’s a question of preference and perception every player has an opinion with some similar and others different.

From the comments so far I seem to agree with everyone 😁😆.

My personal opinion is that it depends on what your mood is at the moment.
If I have a lot of time to play, I prefer the 50K and for quicker tournaments a 5K is good enough.

I see a more tighter game with 5K starting chips and will tend up playing a little loose with 50 K.

Just my opinion

It doesn't matter to me if starting stack 5K or 50K have a similar blind structure based on the starting stack (Example: 5K = 25/50 : 50K: 250/500)

I would set the software to show BB if has that option.

Depends on the blind structure. If its a slow blind structure then more chips is helpful but other than that it comes down to playing the game sound with few errors.

Regardless of the level of blinds in the structures, they are compatible with the amount of starting chips

I don't usually pay much attention to that, but sometimes I prefer the 5000 chip, I think when they give you that amount of chips there may be a little more seriousness, in the 50K I think the bets can become a bit more daring than in the 5K and as I saw in a comment with which I agree, 5k in chips can keep you more attentive in the tournament, but sometimes I also evaluate when the tournament I want to register and how high they can You are blind at that moment and depending on which I register in the one that best suits me

With how many do not start, if the game does not work out, you will still lose them all))). And if the game works out, it doesn't matter how many chips were at the start. Although the larger the stack is in relation to the opponent, the easier it is to create pressure on him.
