a win rate of 4 out of 10 is 40% ITM which is absolutely awesome if you can maintain that you will be crushing these games. Just for your own knowledge breakeven figures sita t around 36% which differs slightly based on the rake %, but anything past 36-37% would be a winning rate in general.

If you can't mix games then stick to the one you like more or you make more money at.

I never hear the older more established players like Ivy, Negreanu, Hellmuth, etc. etc. even mention Spin and Go's but I would sure like to hear there opinion on them.

yes that's over the short term, i'm talking thousands of games. you will ultimately lose if you only get the 2x buyins as you can't have enough skill to overcome the lack of prizepool. however if you win enough 4x 6x + games it makes up for it.

basically you haven't played anywhere near enough games to even worry about it. just play and have fun with it. keep in mind these games are extrememly quick and aggressive so the swings can be huge.

All the older established players aren't really that good at online poker nowadays compared to today's online "wizards".

Anyways Spin N Go's are brutal variance wise. I had busted my roll playing those things. (partially my fault for not taking them seriously)

Should have a pretty big bankroll if you plan on grinding spins.

Pure waste of time. Spin and Go tournaments are lottery, most of players are fishes who want to get big money without much effort so it can hardly be called a true poker game, it's like "whose all-in will win".

I have the solution for you. Simply stop playing Spin n Go.
I've been in this situation myself and I lost all my bankroll playing Spin n Go's and K.O. tournaments. They are addictive and you can't really use a strategy or something to win, most people are gambling there.

So, after you see my post just log into your PS account and play a normal tournament, don't even look anymore at Spin n Go or K.O.
Do that and you won't regret.

dont think its a good format for most to play, high rake, insane volatility, and most players under rolled for the stakes they play

but they are really fun, and lots of fish do play them

The SpinNgo is a very new discipline.

They need more advanced knowledge about poker.

ChipEv must go up all time, and that there is no guarantee of success. :(

I know how you feel. Now, I play one or 2 $0.25 spin&gos if I am short on time, and usually only to earn a challenge ticket. I did learn that success comes from playing solid, and let the maniacs knock each other out. But I agree with the math, that profiting only comes if the win is 4 to 6X. Winning only 2X usually results in break-even at best. Generally, tournament poker is much better at perfecting your game and strategies.

I think Spin & Go is just a lotery with fishes who hit the flop without knowing what they are doing. But no-one can beat stupidity. So stick to tournament poker when you love poker. When you love gamblling stick to S&G.

I'd say avoid playing spin n gos. They are not only a bad way to play poker but the prize pool doesn't make sense. You are almost always getting 2BI in a 3 way game. They are played like lottery and have a huge variance. Even with good stats you'll be losing in the long run.

This is not the way out.

I play SpinNgo 1$ too. I noticed that the usual mathematics applicable in tournament poker is not working. For example coin toss at the beginning of the tournament is a minus effect, because you do not get a prize if you lose. However, losing money in case of loss.

I agree Spin and go are just something to do to pass the time.. In my opinion its just lottery. I don't think you could play them continuously and get ahead. You may break even but most likely behind. This I feel is true for sitngoes too. I do play a lot of them. I do have winning streaks winning 5 out of 10 and placing in others. Than have losing streak taking me just ahead or even. These smaller tourneys do not have a big enough prize pool to offset the entry fees. If you play progressively which I have done that's another story.. Play 2-1$ if you loss, move up to the next level to cover all debt plus till you win one. Then start over. Does work but if you fail gets very costly.
