I decided to start to broaden my types of games I play and one that I've been interested in since I started playing is knockout tournaments, but they seem like a different beast then normal MTT's. So I have a few questions about how they work/how to excel in them. Is it better to play early like any other MTT and build up chips with monster hands or should you go for the knockout when you think you have the nuts? Can you/should you use the possibility of knocking someone out to your advantage to bluff or semi-bluff them out of a hand occasionally? Does getting knocked out lose all the money I earned knocking other people out? Should my overall goal of knockouts be to eliminate people or make it to the money? And that's all the pressing questions I have, if you guys have any other tips, tricks or advice please pass it along and I'd really appreciate it!

You do get to keep all the KO bounty you've earned up to the point you get knocked out.
I don't play enough of these to give strategy advice, in fact my KO rate is always particularly low even if I've gone deep so I suspect I play these over cautiously.

You need to play a little more aggressive. Not afraid allin, because a lot of players try to earn the knockout.
