On SNG's versus Cash Games: a SNG grinder's quandry
I regularly grind about 250 27-180 man SnG's/month. I've been averse to cash games for the most part, as historically I've been more of a fan of tournament strategy and have a fairly decent ROI of about 10%, but recently...I don't know, perhaps it is a recent downswing and the fall weather, but I have gotten a tad bored with it.
So, seeing that DTB is offering a 14 day free trial for us, and I certainly need some cash game brushing-up, I figure, why not make the switch? I have a $300 BR on both Stars and Tilt, but since I don't have FT rakeback(though I email and re-email them frequently hoping for it), I would probably stick with Stars. I am not of the liberal 40-buy in club, I'm much more conservative, more like 80, I'm probably destined to start out in.02/.05, but I will probably take a shot at .05/.10 instead.
My quandry is this....should I abandon my win rate in SnG's for now? Should I full ring? 6-max? I'm a decent PLO payer, should I risk some cash there? I feel like I am at a crossroads, just throwing this out there for opinions.
