I've recently started playing $2.50 180's with no real joy as yet. I wish to become a profitable player at this game and so was wondering if sng wizard would be a worthwhile investment to help improve my 180 game?

it can be, it's not as helpful in the 180 mans compared to the 9 mans for the pure reason that we only really use sng wizard for final tables. it has little to no use at all until then.

also, there is a hell of a lot to learn first before you can even utilize sng wizard properly. at the end of the day, it's just a calculator, and just like any calculator, it's only as good as the person using it.

so what will you need if you are willing to learn?

1. learn ICM inside and out.
2. learn how to properly use sng wizard, the tweaks you need to do to peoples ranges
3. learn the downfalls of ICM and how to compensate
4. learn about edge, and how to compensate
5. learn how to review your own hands objectively

if it sounds like a lot to learn, it is. but unless your willing to do all that, then the $100 you spend on software is better off in your bankroll. it can actually be harmful to your game if you use the software incorrectly.

Hey Cheverz,

Before you purchase any software that will cost you money I would recommend watching some free videos. I think there should be some free 180 ones on youtube.

Also, an hour or two coaching would be hugely beneficial to learn the basics and start playing consistently and become profitable. $100 would be better spent there I think.

I've been winning at 180s for a while now so if you want any advice then just give me a shout.
