I am reading Collin Moshmans SnG strategy, and am trying to get back to my math. So anyone who can explain this in laymans terms would be much appreciated. I understand what he is trying to say in relationship to the hands and how to play them, well sort of anyway, but want to understand the math better. As one example page105the equation is:
-t133=(1/3)(t1,400+t1,000)+(2/3)(-t1400)
What I cant remember is what the relationship is between the numbers in ()
like (1/3)(t1,400+t1,000) Could someone put it in words for me like
one third ????? t1400+t1000 what word goes where the ????? are? or can it even be interpreted that way?
I used to be ok in math, but on the other hand I used to be able to do a back flip ........ neither one works well anymore, but I think I can get the math back.....
I am interpreting this as -- (1/3 of 1400+1000) and adding that to (2/3 of -1400) and that equals -t133 .. but am not sure cause it doesent equal -133, but I need to factor the "t", and I am missing something here.
