Is it better to play regular or super turbo for a beginner?

reg speed offers more chance to play post flop and allows for a higher roi, but the turbos are more icm based and have lower sustainable rois

that being said turbos usually allow for a higher win per hour which is more important than roi

This is true. As a beginner go for reg speed, Turbos take experience that you'll get from tons of reg speed games.

Turbo variances is higher and you got to play wider range of hands.

The controversial question. I am convinced that a lot depends on the style of play and it does not matter you are a novice or an experienced player. Try this game and so that you longer fit the style of the game on that and stop.

Why not just turbo? I like the turbo due to the lowered rake and faster gameplay. Super turbos are just too fast. Regular are good if you are patient and have a high enough winning percentage to beat the rake and are probably the best place to start in that you get the most time to play (you get a sense for how often premium hands come for example). But once you get the hang of it a bit, I'd recommend the turbos (not supers).

I'd say for a beginner, regular is definitely better. You have more time to wait for good hands which make post flop play easier, and also variance is lower. But, each to it's own.

Play regular for start and when you become more experienced you go to faster.

Best for beginner is the regulars.

You have much time to recover and have space to maneuver.

You have time to analyze things and carry those observations for future games.

It depends what kind of stereotype newbie you are. If you are passive, limper or/and min donkbet kinda newbie then reg speeds for sure. If you like to gamble, donkbet pot, pot, value 3 bet big and/or bluff 4 bet light then turbos might give you higher chances of not losing your bankroll as fast.

hypers include more variance, but have some concepts that are easier to learn. if you are a beginner i think you need a more formalised type of game. if you understand hypers they can be profitable much faster than regulars, which include a lot of complex post flop and preflop analysis. i would go for hypers... just study first..

Any help on handling to turbos for newbies? Do we open our ranges up? Play super aggressive?
