I just wrote my latest blog on using 'intelligence' on other players to make decisions in tournaments. Let me know what you think.

Check it out.

This was a good read.

I particularly liked how you showed that 25% of hands go to showdown.
Makes you wonder if we are getting a decent read on anyone.

Seems legit though and we should consider that most hands are won before a showdown.

Nice blog :) and you are right. Without having some decend amount of hands with that player, you can't know for sure how to take advantage of his weaknesses. I'm talking about a good regular, not a fish :D

Good points. If you play with people regularly you can certainly get a good feeling about them, but if you are playing in an MTT with a bunch of strangers, then reliable intelligence is going to be difficult.

I like this post!

it's all true, sometimes when i see a people in the live games, just for the posture or the clothes i have one idea, but in the real table, playing i see i'm wrong, and change the idea of that guy.

play each game as if it was the first time you ever met the people you playing against ,every game is different and you know damn well the real players have noted you when theyve played you , the mind game gets intense at that point so unless you got a read ,play the game your way and dont get involved in the meta game lol (unless its EPT UKIPT or WPT lol then i fully expect to see brain freeze hahah
