Slowing down your game

Slowing my game has been helpful. On a table I will slow play on good hands and change it up. On some tables players get mad and trash talk, I don't play slow all the time. I look at it this way it's our hands to play and play them to help your pots so play well and good games to you.

Well, it depends what stakes you are playing. The higher the stakes, the more profitable slow play becomes, if, and only if you are an excellent post flop player. The problem with slow play is that you give worse hands a chance to catch up with you, and you can lose a lot of money thinking you still have the best hand after the flop, with an over pair for example. At micro stakes levels though, slow playing is unlikely to be profitable anyways, it's better to put in healthy raises when you think you are ahead, no need to be fancy.

Some players commit excesses in the slower game and really think it influences the patience of the villains.

About using the watch very much in online games I have the following opinion:

pokerstars is giving you this time to make your move, you are using it.

Just turn off your table talk bubble and you don't have to listen to the ten year olds whine.

That's exactly what I do. I never have the table talk bubble enabled. For me, it's annoying. Does anyone else find that it helps them? If so how?

I kinda enjoy when they get pissed off after you felted them or took a huge chunk of there stack. They are venting and boy it is funny sometimes.

Let em get mad, then they bet big often with just to pair.

The more you think about the decision the greater the likelihood of making the right decisions, so it is useful and reasonable to sometimes slow down the game.
