People play the cheap real money
tournaments the same way. Or worse. If you get to the higher buyin levels of play money some of the basic play is better than some of the play at $1 and less SnGs.
To the OP, JQs in play money or cheap tournies or freerolls
is a fold preflop hand in the early stages, unless I don't care how I finish. In late position it could once it a while be a raise, then fold to most flop/aggression from opponent combinations, but most times it's just a fold.
The early part of any tournaments like this is just staying out of the way waiting for the worst players to either knock each other out or at least reveal themselves. Not exciting, but practical.
