Do you all abide by the strategy to just sit at the beginning and play suited and high cards or do you like to take chances at the beginning to hit? For example sometimes I find it beneficial to call early on if the blinds are only 20, because i read online that many players tend to sit at this stage?

Chips are usually easy to accumalate in the early stages if its not a turbo.
alot of regs and patient players are waiting for strong hands before mixing it up,
and will fold anything other than top pair by the turn if they dont have the right odds on draws.

This makes it a prime time to pick up orphaned pots and inflate the pots pre flop for value which will scare off the guys playing an abc disciplined strategy.

Yes it involves alot of skill and you have to be able to sometimes abort this strategy if your at a tough table or a very bad fish table, and you still need to sync this in time with how many hands you play but this way you can avoid going hand dead and focus on hands per orbit rather than holdings

I believe one should always play a lot of hands while blinds are low beacuse more than winning chips that stage of game should be used to read other players game and also give a false read about ur game to others...Its very important stage to form ur base...

I think it's ok to see some cheap flops in the first and second levels trying to hit with sc's and low pairs - I would be careful not to get sucked into a limpfest though and not limp at all as the blinds increase. You should be looking to exploit the players who limp and call too much by stealing from them and value betting the bejesus out of them because you know they will call with any kind of draw no matter how silly or just about any pair and generally avoid anyone who seems to know what they are doing unless you have the goods.

Particularly, I play tight aggressive at the start of the tournaments/S&G. However, while the blinds are low, often gives to risk some hand connectors low / medium, risking a flush or a good result.

I try to be tight/aggressive at the start of a tourney/S&G with some mixture of cheap pot entires with connectors, suited or not. I even mix some fish hands if I feel like the villains are not really sure in their hands. It pays off in large ammount of chips sometimes and even if you do not hit - losing 20-40-60 chips is not a big deal, just don't do it every single hand

I think if you want to play a speculative hand you should abide by the 5-10 rule. if its no more that 5% of your stack to play go for it. if it is going to cost you 10 % or more its a definite fold !!!

I just try to male rentable moves, and in the long run it is better. Play as if you were playing cash, and play depending on the blinds you have. For example: would you go all in preflop with AK in cash against a villian who you don't know how he plays? I wouldn't. But if I have 20bb maybe I would, depending on the stage of the tournament

In these kinds of tournaments - I fold first one or two hands to see how oponents acts and than ajdust my strategy - also if I got a very strong hand and I know they would fold on me if I raised I play it clever - let them raise it and build the pot and before river or on river I push all in.. in most cases at least one of them calls it and I have good chances to double or tripple my stack :)

chips you lose are more worth than chips you win, so best way isfor minimal invest take maximal profit (s.con., small pairs, premium hands) again, be very cautious of your opponents, what they raise early is probably holding that they would call/go all-in later, so make notes
