Hello,
I have heard that 20 big blinds is considered the 'danger zone' for a two-hour level live tournament structure. This got me wondering about online turbo/hyper tournament structures.
1. If I am playing in a five-minute level tournament online, when am I in the danger zone?
2. Does the answer to question 1 change if I am, instead, playing in a three, ten, or twelve minute level tournament? If so, how so?
3. Is there a general rule/formula that describes what stack size that I should be shipping with?
I play five-minute level structures most frequently and have found 5 bb to be too late for shoving and 10 bb a little too much, currently setting 7-8 bb as my danger zone. But I'm not sure if this is right, and not experienced enough in other structures to know the answers to those questions.
