When I am a short stack in a turbo sit and go and I get a dominate hand I usually go all in. I figure that the blinds are so much that you get a good amount of chips even if everyone folds. Also if a big stack calls usually they do not have that strong of a hand and I sually end up winning. Every now and then I will lose if I don't hit the flop and they do but I think I win it enough that it is worth doing it. Do you agree with this play?

Well when you're short-stacked there's not much else you can do. There's an interesting thread on this site which changed my strategy though. Rather than just shove pre-flop, bet half of your stack, giving the opportunity for people to call, then just shove it in on the flop, whether you hit or not.

If you have 10 Big Blinds or less and pick up a hand there's no other play other than shoving all in. That's pretty standard. If you have say 15 bigblinds you can try the stop-n-go play mentioned above where you bet half preflop, half on flop. When using a play like this i like to bet a bit less than half, maybe 2/5 of my stack preflop, leaving a bit more to bet on the flop. Just increases the chance of them folding incase you missed. In a turbo the blinds increase so fast though you might just wanna push all in preflop with any good hand shortstacked.

Yeah sounds like the jist of it.

I would say that I think short stack stratagy comes into play around the 20BB mark and not the 10BB mark.. With 20BB you still hav loads of fold equity but once you get below 10 you will find it difficult to push out better hands.

another really crazy idea is to jump into a big pot when a couple of medium stacks are fighting it out and try to triple up.
also if the big blind is playing really conservative, i would push allin to keep taking his blind.
