Good Luck to all in September.

My goals for Mtts in September.

-Play 150 Mtts (at least 10 Rebuys and 10 KO´s)
-Play 10 sattys for bigger games (not play the bigger game)
-NOT PLAY RUSH MTT´s
-Play a MAX of 5 freerolls in the month.(the fewer the better)
-Study 1 time a week (4 times in month)

This will definitely be my focus this month! I have not decided on all of my goals but here is my start:
  1. Play 150-200 mtt's
  2. Have 3-4 coaching sessions
  3. Start using my DTB membership to review mtt videos at least once a week.
  4. Get back into HOH vol 1.
  5. Mix in some $5 re-buys and some $22's this month.
  6. Play 2 live tournaments.

I would love to lol - but tried to keep my goals reasonable and head straight. MTT players can go months without a good cash and I can't forget that.

I guess 150 mtts is the way to go, that's the # I had in mind. Goals:

- play 4+ mtts/day
- cash some of them so I'm not broke by the end of week three.
- also watching mtt vids at DTB

Hey, Logan I see you mentioned rebuys and sattys, if you're playing micro stuff there's a good one at 2:00 eastern $1.10 + rebuys. Gets ~300 (400? idk) entrants and has five $55 tickets added, so good overlay. I've played it ~20x or so, three cashes - good shot at decent T$....only problem being its in the middle of the day for the U.S. (Same thing with the $5 tournaments I'm rolled to play, only ones I see are 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 eastern).

Today's schedule for marginal: 1:00 $5.50 (20k), 4:00 $8.80 (12k), 5:00 $2.75 (12.5k), probably a couple other filler in the afternoon. 4:00 there are the $5.50 double A+B at Tilt, but I'd rather stick with all PS.

I am going to go through the PS and FT tournaments and make a list of all the good ones to play. I can post it here if anyone wants to see it.

Thanks D´, i put it in my schedulle.

I got a schedulle for Stars but go from $1 to $4 and just 5min and 10 min blinds, i reallly can´t spend 8 hours there, so the 15 min. are out, if work for someone let me know and i post it.

I don´t have a schedulle for Fulltilt, i think will look on that in the night, probably the schedulle from Debi will be out of my range.

You know, I never thought about setting goals for playing but I guess it makes sense. So I will add mine. Needless to say since I just really got serious about playing poker, my goals are going to be a bit more simplistic.

1. Figure out how to quickly calculate EV. I'm sure there's a way, I just haven't found it.
2. Find out what the heck that PR stat is in Poker Tracker 3 and what it means. For that matter, find out what else I can use Poker Tracker for in analyzing my hands (I assume it can be done).
3. Learn to multi-table to at least 2 tables...I know, unbelievable!! :p
4. Learn, learn, learn and learn some more.

1. Avoid regular MTT's
2. Play re-buy satellites like crazy
3. Win a couple of T$, and enjoy life

I don't play a lot of tourneys on Stars, mainly the CC games and the occasional DoN. Last night I stumbled upon the $4.40 2R1A and the $5.50 2R1A that had just started. Figured what the heck, double-bought into both, and within 5 minutes was 1st and 3rd stack in both. The 5.50 wound up with a field of about 900, the 4.40 with 107. I busted out of the 5.50 after about 3 hours. Don't remember the place.

I cashed the 4.40 in 7th place, after nearly 4 hours of play. In a 107 player field. I've never seen such a small tourney take so long! It was a deeper stacked tourney at 2500 chips, with 10 minute blinds, and yes it was a rebuy but only 2 were allowed. I've played Guarantees with 1700 players that didn't last much longer than that.

Anyway, I was surprised as to how soft both were. A lot softer than the big MTT's on FT it seemed. Even when nearing the money bubble and final table bubble there were still people donking off chips with insane AIPF calls with 97s and such.

The 4.40 payout, unless you got first at 330.00, wasn't really worth the 4 hour session (I got 33.33 for 4th), but the 5.50 paid out like 1300 for first. I may have to revisit that one.

There some good goals. Maybe I should start to set myself some poker goals to try and keep my game level up.
It's so easy just to sit in a game and just play. A bit like auto pilot sometimes.

How long have you had coaching for? Is it a good price to invest in? I was thinking about getting a coach to improve my MTT game. But i'm not sure which direction to turn too atm.

I have had sng coaching a couple of times and didn't improve much - but my current coach finally convinced me that mtt's are my game. After one mtt coaching I won a tournament lol. He is awesome - if you are serious pm me and I can give you details.

SnG's are so dreadfully nitty. In MTT's you can actually play some poker.

Guess I'll give this 'goals' malarkey a try..

1) Play at least 30 MTTs
2) Win 4 MTTs
3) Quit being a wimp and try a R/A MTT out. (Something about them just scares me).

Just played my first MTT of the month.. an 80 man $1 freezeout.. took down 1st place! 3 more wins to go! Wish me luck ;)
