how exactly to select cards to play in following stages,

  1. early stage
  2. middle stage
  3. late stage
  4. final table
and also how tight or loose to play in these all 4 stages in order to finish first in the tournament?

This is far too simplistic a question. If all it took to be a winning tournament player is following a formula, everyone with a lick of sense would play the same way.

That said, **as a generalization**, I believe new and new-ish players at the lowest levels are best served by learning to play a solid TAG style first. Basically, this is akin to learning to walk first, before trying to jog or run.

Download "pokerstove" there you can see the top 15% premium hands. Later if you know what is top 15% hand you can try to play this hand, but for example when you you have QTs and 3bet to you, you should fold. You have to think what can be good :)

I disagree with the programs that help you to know the effectiveness of your hand or anything like that I think you have to play poker the way out and as you think then that is correct! What will you do playing live poker then me you would die without a program to help you decide! lol

It's not a binary situation; you don't turn off your brain because you use pokerstove. It's a tool that will help you to learn, among other things, what the top 15%, 20%, etc. of hands are on a mathematical basis. You still have to watch your opponents to determine how their individual tendencies vary from those ranges.

I am also wondering, generally in the weaker stages of a MTT, would you be willing to play weaker hands than you should? Would the benefit outweigh the cons?

Also, on a separate point how many people would you say do use Poker Software to analyze their play? -I've never used poker software, and am wondering as a player that is decently experienced (albeit not great by any means) can benefit from this?

It depends on everything, position the players at the table you can't play any one way at any one stage because the variables are always changing and we should always account for variable change. (any one else seen 21?)

Its true though only exception too this is maybe late stages at a final table where it becomes shove or fold

The best way to get a hang of all these stages is to play a lot and learn from experience.
