I seem to go deep in most micro rebuys I play. Unfortunately there are really not that many between FT and PS. Dont get me wrong I have gone deep in other MTT's but just not nearly as much as Rebuys.
What I am wondering is what this means for other Double Stack and Deep Stack tournaments...is there something I am probably doing wrong at a certain phase or is this regular for players to have the best results in Rebuys.
I know this is a very general question, but any help is always appreciated.
Thanks

It is hard to answer - but you might play too agressively in the early stages of the double and deep stacks. I usually play relatively tight until the blinds reach a point where they are worth stealing and and you can start getting real value for some re-steals.

Sample size is probably not sufficient to draw any relevant conclusion. Anyway, rebuys play deeper than other tournaments, so you probably have leaks in your game with lowish stacks to blind ratios.

If you are good at it, than keep playing them. Don't play a diff. kind of game until you start losing. I personally do not like rebuys, because donkeys always shove at the beginning, just to buy in. I know its a strategy, but its not exactly what I would call poker seeing 6 people shove w/ unplayable hands like 107 or 68 os vs a premium hand, only to suck out. GL on your future tournaments.

You might suffer from the same "disease" that i am trying to get rid off: Being too tight when chipped up. I believe its a simple psychological reaction to having won some hands - you feel a need to relax your game in fear of risking your newly gained position.

Usually this is happening around the time when antes come into play and the result is having to play weaker hands in shove mode when blinds and antes get more attractive. As with 99% of other poker problems, its a leak based in wrong decision making. What i am trying as a cure is maintaining a certain momentum. Not going nuts, but really taking care not to stall my game either. Started to use HEM and the VP$IP stat to keep an eye on my game throughout - it helps...
