I feel a bit bad posting this as many of our USA mtt players are not allowed to play now but feel a thread discussing what games we are going to play and what sats we are using or are juicy.

Personally I am going to try sat in as many of the low holdem games as possible. Not tried any yet but did have a step 2 ticket I used to get into the 27$ KO game. My plan is to try play a few sats a day and maybe even try for a med game somewhere.

The first game is a 22$ 6 max two day event and I may grind a few sunday storm sats and get a T$ roll going as well as using some fpps.

Nice selection.

I think I'm buying directly up to $20.00 in most hold em events and going to try a smallish satelitte in to anything higher. I don't think I'm going to bother trying to satty into the 10k event though lol.

Doing 200 dollars in buyins on the low events, mostly holdem and PLO
also doing 200 BI's in ftops as well. Anyone want to run together in that message me. Got myself and one other good tournament player in agreement already. share any cashes 60/40 with 60 going to the person who cashes. May not buy into the exact same tournys but say amount of buyin. I am 60% rating and 17% ITM over a small sample since I mostly play live tournaments or online cashgames. My partner is a much higher rating even though I would say we are very even in skill level. I havent checked his stats in a while but he is probably 80%+ and has a few 5k+ cashes on full tilt.

$225 buyins for me on SCOOP and having to skip main event because it's just before an exam, also skipping a couple of $11rs to avoid getting into insane makeup. :(

I was going to try and build up loads of tourney dollars by playing a lot of Sunday Storm satellites over the last few weeks but I recently discovered the joys of $1 SnGs and have been trying to slowly grow my bankroll instead. I think I'm only going to be able to build enough tourney dollars to play in one SCOOP event and right now I'm leaning towards the #21 $50k NLHE/PLO with the $16.50 buy in. The buy in suits my current tourney dollar bankroll and at a 4pm start time, it's convenient. If I can generate more tourney dollars this week then the #19 £200k NLHE with the $22 buy in would be next choice. I've noticed some cheap satellites coming up for other events which may be worth a look and there are a couple of satellites offering 300 seats - I'm sure more will be announced in the coming days. I'm still relatively new to poker with a modest bankroll but it would be so cool to take part in SCOOP.

If you're playing $1 SNGs I'm not sure any SCOOP events suit your bankroll :p

But playing SCOOP is fun :)

It's not the size of the bankroll that's important, Pascal, it's what you do with it! Or something to that effect! I only just started playing SnGs so decided to jump in at the lowest limits to pick up the basics - ready to move up a couple of levels, I think. While it's true I haven't got the bankroll to buy in directly to any SCOOP event, that's what those tourney dollars are for! For taking a shot at the title! :D

Good things to do with a small bankroll:

[ ] take underrolled shots at tournaments with huge fields :p

Yeaha! I'm a real bankroll nit but I'm pushing the boat out in some if needs be. That's if I fail to satty into some I'm going to buy directly in as they don't come round very often and the potential payoff is huge.

I won't however be buying directly into the $215.00 as this represents like 3buy-ins or something lol.

I will be buying directly into the $30.00's etc if I can't qualify..

So, my list (hopefully) is as follows:

scoop1(L): $22.00 6max (200k gtd)
scoop2(L): $22.00 (200k gtd)
scoop3(L): $5.50+R 6max (I'm not a big fan of rebuys either)
scoop5(L): $11.00+R (Not 100% about this yet)
scoop7(L): $16.50 headsups
scoop7(M):$162 (If I can satty in to it)
scoop8(L): $11.00 turbo
scoop12(L): $27.00 knockout
scoop13(L): $16.50 ante-up (not 100%, not played ante-up only before, diff game?)
scoop15(L): $16.50 turbo
scoop16(L): $22.00 quad shootout
scoop19(L): $22.00
scoop20(L): $22.00
scoop22(L): $33.00 4max (Not 100% sure, if I can satty ok - inexperienced in 4max)
scoop26(L)$11.00 turbo
scoop27(L): $22.00 RAZZ
scoop28(L): $11.00+R Big antes(Possibly)
scoop31(L): $22.00 1R/1A
scoop37(L): $22.00 6max
scoop38(L): $109 main event. Quite possibly directly buying in to this. Going to try satty in to it but if I fail I've very tempted to take a risk in the low main event!
Scoop38(M): $1,050 ( HaHa, no chance of direct buy-in (unless I win a ticket here!) Very little chance of a satty as most sattys consist of minimum $215.00 lol.:(

scoop38(H): $10,000 ( I wish) Might take out a loan to play. lol ;D

Now if I directly bought into all but the 10k main event it would cost me a whopping $606 excluding the rebuy(S) and addon's. Upon looking at that, that's nearly all my bankroll most likely not the most sensible thing to do unless of course I manage to cash good in one of the others before hand. I think I'm going to have to satty in to even the 22's at this rate and if I can't then take out half the list which is a shame..I really want to play the main event $109 though so that is the only one I'd buy directly into in terms of "big" buy-in..

This sucks lol. It's unrealistic for me all these unless I do manage a satty. It's so tempting though to gamble just because of the amazingly good deep structures. I might knock the turbo's on the head and even the 6max as these are probably my most weak games.

I'm going to re run through the list again and check it out..

By the way, anyone who has ever played in the scoop events, I imagine most players even at the low buy-ins are actually some what half decent? Am I right?

ps: What are good satty's to play? There are many SnG's for big events with low buy-ins but only one place gets paid etc. Not sure if it's a killer on the BR even trying or to pay the extra and play a STT for them? Thoughts/opinions on which sattys would be great!

My SCOOP schedule:

SCOOP.png

Having to miss a couple because my exams start on like the 24th, might end up playing a couple of mediums if I sat in and can't unreg but don't really like taking big shots in large variance fields. :)

Ante Up is fun, blinds stay at 5/5 and action is forced by antes increasing, people play them really terribly because they can't work out pot odds pre.

Probably going to skip the $11rs because I don't fancy blowing $80 of makeup when I don't even play the softer daily ones :p

Ok nice schedule. Yours seems far more responsible than mine.

I honestly thought you might of been taking a shot at the $109 main event though.

As I thought, PS have just added more SCOOP sattys where many seats are awarded rather than the odd seat here and there. But I'm guessing that even though say 300 seats are awarded in an $8 satty which sounds good, so many players will find it and play in it, it will end up making the ratio not that great. I think sattys need to be chosen with care! :)

approx. 200 dollars in buyins, and now i have to move back down in cash games limits but its worth it to take a shot. If I get a good cash I will probably play the mediums in the same tournaments I am registered in and play the low and medium final.

Ahhh. Yeaha, I wish I stuck at school/college longer lol. It was different back in my day though! Good luck, some very good looking qualifications. Wish you the best of luck with them!

Swapping actions sounds fun. Can I have a bit of you? Or are you being still being backed 50/50 during them with your current backer?

onemorechance - I'm down for deals in tournaments where we are both playing. I can't pm, add me on skype if interested - srfnduff@gmail.com

I'm interested in something here. Let's see some numbers and stuff. Who/where is getting some action and from who!

I was tempted by them originally but the variance just seems to high to justify me buying in 100+ lol. The two day events actually give you some hope with the levels and so on.

ramdeebam, I am willing to make deals based on stats and so on. I am not regularly a tournament player but I have been playing quite a bit in the last while to get ready.
The type of deal I would like to make is where the person who cashes gets the lion's share on a sliding scale and the other runner/runners get a smaller percentage. And for each player the lion's share could change if our stats have a big spread, or if they are close we could just have an equal set amount.
So for example:
Player 1 cashes before final table
player 1 gets 60%-75%
other players split 25-40%
Player one cashes final table
Player one gets 75-80%
Other players split 20-25%
Now, in these small buyin events it might not be much of a split if there are 3 or 4 players for the players not cashing but it could, in a lot of cases, cover the entry fee so thats cool. I am willing to do this type of deal with 3-4 runners. Again we can do it on a sliding scale as far as what the lion's share is for each player since some havea greater edge on the fields.
