Hello Guys,
Can you give an your thoughts on how to maximize the battles between SB, BB and Button when everyone folded and the blinds are big with most of the players are in survival mode.

SB vs BB typical battle:
SB raises BB will reraises or flat calls.
SB limps BB raises, SB calls or shove

Button vs BB typical battle:
Button raises BB reraises or shoves
Button limps, SB folds, BB raises or shoves.

Dealer vs SB will not mostly happen if SB doesn't have good cards.

These are the spots that I am mostly busted out of a tourney. Is it advisable to get out on these kinds of battles?

Thanks in advance.

No need to get edgy in these spots. However, if you have a decent value hand on the button, attack (same goes for in the SB). If your opponent has a high three bet percentage from the SB or BB and three bets, then don't hesitate to four bet (dependent on your stack size 40BB+, 30BB+ ONLY if you are willing to call off five bet shoves). If your opponent just calls your button bet then adjust based on the outcome of the flop. I'm almost always firing if I've bet/four bet pre and my opponents just smoothed. If I brick and he comes over the top then we have to submit to the way of the dragon and give up. Late stage battles should only be happening if you are deep.

To maximize such situations i believe you have to understand what type of players you are up against.

Suppose you are on the button and players to your left are passive - which means they either give up their hand easily or don't 3bet often pre flop. Then against such players make a raise on the button almost every time.
The other way round when you are on the blinds and the button opens every time then rather than flat calling pre flop begun by 3betting even your medium strength hands.

On the other hand if you are on the small blind and the big blind is quite aggressive then you can try limping with all kinds of hands strong or medium so that you have a better chance to either make a play on him rather than the other way round or let him hang himself later. :icon_stud
