I always have a problem when I want to get a satellite to an expensive tournament. The problem is that basically all satellite tournaments have a turbo structure, and I do not like such tournaments. But even when I find a satellite tournament with a standard structure, a new problem appears - this satellite ends when the main tournament is already running for at least an hour, and I get to the main tournament already with an average stack of 50 bb
Who knows, tell me Why is this done? Why poker room uses exactly this approach to satellites?

Yes turbo structure to speed up entries to tournament is rough and getting in while late registration is nearly over leaves you at the mercy of big stacked bullys agreed.
Not nice to be in all in or fold situation after just joining.

Wait, wait - when you are automatically registered for the main event through winning a late satellite, you are normally seated on a table with other newly registered players. So it means the same stack on the newly formed table, but of course at later stage you are faced with large stacks, there is no escape from that :)

Completely understand what you want to say, also thinking the same.
Just i don't see so huge problem with turbo structure of the satellites..bigger problem for me is that field is so hard, a lot of solid players at the satellites.

I think it would be appropriate to have satellites one week before the "main" tournie at the same time. And then maybe 1 or 2 saties during the preceding week at different times to accommodate everyone.

Good luck !

Yes. That’s what I’m talking about - there are no satellites with a standard structure a few days before the tournament starts. They all start three hours before the main tournament starts, and in the main tournament we already get through at least 1-1,5 hour of play

Yes, for sure. You know, everybody wants to pay 5$ for an entry instead of playing 50, Even if they are pro players or have the bankroll. Makes sense.

I think rooms give a little bit head start for those who played full entry, its kinda weird to think like that but almost every sat. for tournaments are LateR at PS

i think the spin n go when there is a special events is the best way to get to big tournaments , i played many big tournaments just paying few dollars and you get to play for those tickets quite frequently against 2 other players , its fast and effective ( better than satellites )

I always enter that are turbo, entering the tournament after 1 hour is a huge disadvantage.

This is how I lose my bankroll ... Late registration does not meet expectations!

Well the best hyper turbo satellites also start only when the target tournament has started. If you have ever regularly played them, you would understand why. Because there are tons of regs there, it's a great value tournaments. You unregister and have all the tickets won as tournament money. If you know how to play them, it's printing money. Obviously they can't run this format 24/7.

those satellites are usually like that, I guess it's to prevent players from being so many hours on the satellite and they can play relatively fast in tournaments, it's difficult because sometimes we get used to playing tournaments a bit slow and when it's time to play turbos complicates decision making
