Satellite play

I want to parley a meager banroll into some major tourneys. I figure that satellites would be a good way to get a foot in the door until I can make a cash.

Does any one have a formula to figure or method to figure the best way to get into major tourneys.

Is one site better than another for parleying into major tourneys.

Nope, I don't think about formulas and all that other stuff.

The low steps are easy, the high steps are all insanely skilled SNG regs waiting for mediocre low stakes SNG players to make their way up and play against them. I love the steps on Stars, because a step 4 ticket is good for entry into the Sunday Million, so if you have some sng satty skills you can buy in to 4 step 1s and get an entry into the sunday mil (plus a bunch of vpps and fpps) for $30.

I am getting pretty good at SNG play but I have no bankroll at stars. I need a good freeroll there to get me going.

focus on your bankroll don't try to satelite into tournaments. Play sng's that you can win some money in. Then once you have some extra money to play some tourneys or satelites go for it!

You could try the steps tourneys on FT. I usually buy into the step 3 for 3.30 then advance to like 26$ and then play a big 24+2 tournament. Also there are many satellites with 0.9$ for the double deuce thats if you play on FT. On pokerstars there are hundreds of satellites for every major tournament. If you dont win 2-3 satellites for the tournament you want to get into you should put a stop to it and grind it out in cash and sng until u have the buy-in for that tournament. GL

if u play at full tilt, try getting some points and play the 650pt sng to 2500 pt $750k saty. if get entry into the saty u got a chance to win entry into the $216 tourn. or u could take the 2500pts and keep playing the 650pt sng again and again to build a full tilt point bankroll to get tourn tickets from the full tilt store.

if u dont have a lot of points, try the poker academy. u could do some tasks in the academy by only risking pocket change to get 5k in points.

the only problem is u can only do a particular task at max - 10times, ever. the challenges do not reset. i emailed customer service. so be care what u pick and the order u do em. hope i helped.
