Alright, I think I know the answer to this question ,but want to make sure so maybe I can play a little different next time .Picture yourself in a sattelite tourney there's four of you the top three get a tourney ticket the fourth gets the cash left over ,the guy with the big stack goes all in ,the second biggest stack folds ,you have the third biggest stack you call and the smallest stack also calls .The guy with the deep stacks wins the pot and knocks you and the smallest stack out.Who gets the ticket and who gets fourth place.

in situations like this it's always down to chip count, so smallest stack misses out because he/she had the smallest chip count at elimination.

That's simply. 4th gets smallest stack who played the hand.

Looks like some others have already beat me to the punch. They are correct when they say, that in scenarios like this it comes down to who started the hand with the fewest chips. Whoever started with the fewest chips will be the 4th place finisher, regardless of whether their hand was better than the other player 's hand, who was also simultaneously KO'd during a said hand.

You get the ticket and the fourth place goes to the smallest stack.

I want to thank everyone who answered this question. After every tourney I always do a post tourney analysis to see if I could have done better. In this case you guessed it ,I was the next to last stack and I folded. The small stack was automatically all in from the big blind .It worked out for me but ,the small stack had the better preflop which means I probably should have called lowering the small stacks chance for survival but, I wasn't sure, now I'am .

First of all what is the hand that you are calling in last position with? This is a horrible move on many levels.

I have even had AA and called a 3-way pot and was kicked out of the tournament. Some would say that I should call anyways and some would say to let the others knock out because the price doesnt matter between the top 3.

So, I would have folded but many others would say to call I think.

I should have explained a little better I was down to half a blind after the fold if the little stack would have won I was in big trouble,so in my mind the only thing to do was to call which I will do next time.
