Please yours opinion on this one. I have money for direct buy in in couple of tournaments ( 5 - 20 dollars buy in ) , but see some satelits for 0,50 USD , and 10 or 20 entries on target tournament. Does this satelits is worth , or in them are just players who goes in all in with anything ???

Satelite's are well worth it because it provides someone the opportunity to play a larger buy-in tourny without having to step outside a proper BRM strategy to do so.

If you are comfortably rolled, ie 100x buyins for a tourny then yes to play a satty into that tourny might not be worth your while...depends on how you view it and if your talking a 5$ game or 500$ game I suppose.

In regards to the all-in aspect, typically people are playing the satelite's the same as they would any other tourney.........you will tend to see some crazy play in any game depending on the buyin so satty's are no different and if your talking a 2x-turbo or 3x-turbo then those get just redic due to the structure.

Satellites have quite good, despite what, on what buy-in, in any poker room.
My opinion is to try satellites.

Profitable only if play on profit and not for purposes of playing tournament. ( won sat and unregistered in mtt)..

If you only play satellites for the purpose of playing a tournament, it never will be profitable ... It will always pull bankroll down and in the tournament you do not show the optimal game...

I've done well with the satellite format, but i think at such low stakes, it's maybe not the way to go. When you're looking at a $1k buy in, but can get in for a tenth that, I think that's a better play.
Plus i like winning a satellite because it gives you a huge boost of confidence going into the live event.

If you play the sat to go on and play the tournament, you'll end up losing long term. I prefer playing tournaments at your buy-in range for profit.

Nothing feels better than winning a sattelite to a big buyin tourney and cashing for a decent amount. Your roi goes through the roof!

Personally I prefer direct buyins, since most (if not all) sats are (hyper)turbo's and I don't like that kind of speed.

agree

Agree , if they are hyper turbo i also dont like them , but you have DEEP , starting chips are 10000 chips , and no rebuy .These are great

<3 satellites

They are so awesome

But of course, you can wind up spending more than what it would cost you to direct buy, or even spend $ and never get in!

Sattys are good for people who aren't rolled to play tourneys they want to play. Some of my big cashes have been from winning a satty seat.

Years back I won a 3$ satty to a 11$ to a $450 seat and wound up making like 3k.

so $3 ---> 3k is good

Sattelites are the best

I definately believe in sattelites its a great way to build your bankroll because its a tiny risk for a huge reward. you can play multiple sattelites to get into one tourney and if you get in and cash its a much bigger amount of money compared to your roll and what you should be playing.
