Anyone playing these Rush On Demand Sit-n-gos on Fulltilt? Ive been playing the $1.10 buy-in. The tournament starts when you get 40 people but the late buy-in last for a while and usually ends up with any where from 300 to 500 entrants. The tournament is turbo but with it being a Rush format I can get in as many hands as a regular tournament in a fraction of the time.

So far Ive only played in 8 but have cashed in 3 and netted over $81. Im sure Ill come down to earth on that but seems like a very beatable game at this level without the time constraints of most tournaments of this size.

Anyways if you too are playing them let me know what you think.

wow they have 1.10 ones now? Thats cool I will probably check that out I have played several of the 4.40 but that really is beyond good BRM so I try not to play those but a buck ten is right up my alley.

I've played a few 1.10 of these OD tourneys. I haven't figured out if I like them or not. I think I cashed in 2 of them but nothing big or anything to get excited about. I'm not a fan of turbo tourneys but like you said, rush kinda helps in getting in more hands before blinds catch up to your chip stack.

I've played 31 of these, with over 100 entries and I have a profit of $145.

I know this is a pretty small sample size, but like you said these games seem very beatable. You can go on some bad swings in these, I actually started out down almost $40 through 15 games, but after that I made a bunch of final tables that gave me a nice profit.

My one rule for these is to only register if the games are within the first two blind levels. This is what I did after my bad start and it really helped because you weren't instantly put into shove/fold move. Starting at level 4-5 is tough since you don't have much time to build a stack.

I had to stop playing these two weeks ago because Full Tilt suspended my account out of the blue. Never figured out why I was suspended, but I should be getting it back in the next day or so, that's what they told me at least.

ONce I get it back, I'm going right back to these to see how I do.

These can bring you to your absolute limit of frustration, but making a top 3 finish in just 1 of 50 entered will turn a profit. Can you tolerate the donk/jam factor long enough to hit a good cash is the question.

Played another 7 $1.10 last night and scored a 2nd place in one for $56 Still liking this game.

I got one question... As the bubble approaches and from then on. Do you think it's better to quickfold and see as many hands as possible or do you think at this point you should start slowing up and watching hands and getting notes on players you might be likely to see at the final table?

Thanks

Quickfold hands that you aren't going to play.

Notes on players on the bubble will usually be very different then they play at the Final Table.

I have a related question that concerns quick-folding vs. clock management after antes begin. What's the most cost-effective strategy here? If you quickfold every hand that you don't intend to play, you end up posting a LOT of antes. If you run out your clock and watch the play of every hand, you save the antes but end up playing many hands out of the blinds. The obvious middle ground is to fold in turn without quick-folding.

I haven't played enough Rush tournaments to have a feel for which approach allows you to see hands but still preserves your stack. What's the consensus on how you manage your clock post-ante?

With a large stack I am quick-folding in order to steal the blinds.

With a small stack I am usually quick-folding in order to find a place/hand to shove in order to double up/steal the blinds.

imo, I am usually always quick-folding unless like I have 250 chips and we are 1 away from ITM.

But a min-cash is like 1.5 BIs, so I think playing more hands/stealing more blinds is bigger than the loss in antes + blinds that you would pay.

Fulltilt had expanded some of there sit and gos so no tourney times they start as soon as hit the number weather its a 54 or 135 sit and go enter then let you late register through level 6 or 10

I've been playing quite a lot of these lately and I can't decide if the following strategy is a good idea or bad idea?

Say you're well into the cash places, maybe 15th with 30-40 left, sitting with maybe 20bbs. Should you tank and click sitout and let the hand play out before clicking "i'm back"?

I say this because it seems that every hand a bigstack usually just raises and if you don't have anything reshovable you just have to fold. My point is that everytime you fold you move straight to a new table where you have to pay another huge ante and/or blind. While everyone else is quick folding, you could pay one blind for every three another player pays. Surely that is good for your chances of moving up.

I guess this sort of goes againt the concept of constantly building your stack, but of late in these ROD tourneys I've found myself getting a run of 20 or so junk hands and suddenly half your stack is gone, whereas had you slowed down you would still have a healthy stack.

Thoughts?

Because blind levels are by time, when you've got 20bb you want to be looking for a hand to double up with so you can have a nice stack to try and win it. Seeing more hands at a lower blind level would be good therefore IMO ;)

Bwammo has been playing these with a lot of success. He has a video out at DragtheBar and is working on another one. I am anxious to see the new one cause he amped up his aggression a lot.
