hi guys, when i say run good ,in tournaments,i mean win an all in 3 ways, then win against AA with 78,then win against QQ with Q10,and the examples are a lot..but after all those hands, you feel that you can win every hand..so you call a bit wide an all in,but what is the range that you have to call an all in you haveing 180BB vs 20BB in the middle of the tournament?

hi man... if u are so deep close to 180bb and u face all in from stacks 20bb and under..Firstly i think your calling range depends from your opponent and his shoving range which u believe that he has from the infos about him, u know until the particular hand. After very important is the position. For example, if the shove is from late position or blinds, the range is more wide for sure.u must adjust against all these, and after u can speak about a range... for example AJ+,ATs+,55+

I think that if your deepstacked you have a better chance of staying on top if you play tight aggressive. So calling an all in push from early position may seem like a good idea but you have to think how often aj is going to beat small pocket pairs prolly only 24-37%? I'd say better idea to at least wait for a pair and have the chance of your opponent push with an a-x combo.

When you're deepstacked players tend to think they can raise frequently and win all but it's not true because your opponents will pick up on it and start pushing or calling with a wider range of cards possibly getting you into trouble.

Running good ends. You got lucky, which is fine, but at this point I'd be looking to protect my stack. I'd start to only play small pots, seeing a lot of flops. I wouldn't have any interest in calling 20BB unless I had a premium hand.

Lucky streak cannot be permanent. Extremely large stack is warming and temptating to pressure others or open with the wider range. BUT. It is serious -- lucky streak cannot be permanent. So if you earn stack of 180BB+ -- play some tighter, take a break of stack raising. If your goal is to win, of course.

You can do pretty much whatever you feel like here. If you have 89 suited and want to gamble a bit go ahead and call the shove. Now if you lose a couple of these you need to revert to a tighter style but the whole point of having this stack is to either bully people or make calls that could bust a guy and not have to worry about busting yourself. The thing is there will be a point in the tournament where 20BB here 20BB there wont matter much and mixing it up will matter more. It isn't a grinding cash game. To win the tournament yo uwill need to be involved in these hands not sitting out waiting for AA so you can be sucked out on..
