What is ROI and how do i find it/obtain it. I think it means Rate Of In-The-Money but I'm not sure. Could someone shed some light? thanks!

Maybe you can google it, or use the search feature on this forum.

ROI means Return Of Investment.

If you buy in for 100$ and your total winnings are 110$, then your ROI is +10%.

Basically it measures the amount of money used/put at risk to win a certain amount.

posts above nailed it. Many sites like OPR will tell you what your ROI is if you look yourself up.

ROI, as stated, means Return on investment. It can be easily misunderstood, however.

In order to get a good handle on your ROI, you need to play a lot of games, and see what your average is over a longer period. You can win or lose a significant amount in the short term with out that necessarily being a balanced view of what your ROI is. If you invest $20 in am STT, and get 1st, and that pays you $90, then your ROI is 3 digits. But this will not be a good indicator what your ROI is in reality. Just as it would not be if you lost that STT.

ROI is a long term calculation. It can of course be done after every game, but this will not give you significant insight to what you actual ROI is.

I cannot give you the best number of tourneys you need to get a reliable ROI, but for STT I think you will need 1000+ games to begin to get an idea.

I think it's : Profit /Total buy-ins * 100

To get profit: Winnings - Total buy-ins = Profit

BTW I googled it and found nothing this simple in first 5 pages I clicked on. Also pain in the ass finding it on this site(for me anyway:))

As said it's Return on Investment.

V_f = final value; V_i = invested Value

So if your BR stands at 1250$ and you started with 1000$ it would be:

(1250-1000)/1000 = 25%

The other stat you mentioned was ITM% referring to how often you reached the money (regardless of place).
