Hi guys,
I would like your opinion on the following.
Let's say you are in the late stage of a MTT, low to medium buy in, maybe a series with more than 2000 people.
You have TT on the in the button or SB or BB and 30 to 40 BB.
Let's say that UTG raise to 2.5BB, one guy in middle position 3Bet's him, both having very tight ranges (both being regs). At this moment you realize that you are an underdog, with roughly 25% equity in the pot, and you need to win at least 30% in order to BE.
Do you ever consider to shove in this -EV spot? When you win, you will take the chip lead with great chances to make it in the top 3. It is a very high variance move but you can hit a very big score.
Of course, in high stake game you may shove this because you may be a favorite.
