Way too little information but you might have waited too long to shove

With that stack and the blinds at 4000/8000 this was the correct play

I'm thinking you waited too long before shoving. You had, what, an M of about 2 1/2, not counting whatever the antes were? Should've probably found a spot to shove before this when you still had decent FE.

I had 50,000 like 2 flops before but lost it 20,000 so was low on money btw this was a faster paced tournament where blinds increased every 15 minutes

Wrong call according to me, You lost a major stack and you went on tilt. Blinds were so bad to effect yo, 400/800 is a long way for your 30k stack. I would hang on. ( I'm no proffesional to judge, Just an intermidiate learner )

if blinds are 800/400 defiantly the wrong move. When you ask did you make the right call did the guy who took you out raise before you? I mean did you call his raise and thats wat put you all in cause that would be the wrong call too. Now if the blinds are 4k/8k no raises before you I would think the push was the right move

Wait, what? I assumed the blinds were 8k/4k, but if they were actually only 800/400, then obv. no need to shove. If 8k/4k, then yeah, shove pre.

It was 8,000 and 4,000 blinds not 800 and 400 blinds

Yeah, then shove pre. Normally you shouldn't let yourself get that short before shoving, but like you said you just lost another hand a couple of hands ago to make you that short. In that case this was totally the right move, imo.

I would shove with any ace if I only had 30k chips, when I'm less then 10 bb's I'm thinking about finding a hand and a good spot to shove.

You had less than 4 big blinds, you definitely needed to make a move somewhere.
There is obviously very little info here. The one question I would like to ask is what seat were you in, and where was the dealer button. If the blinds were close to you, I could almost see pushing in, and trying to avoid another round of blinds. However, if the blinds weren't close to you, I may have waited until you got an ace...
