lately i have problems when ante come into play , even though i make a very strong early game play and im around 100-200bb when ante come into play , i tend to slowly lose after this , most stacks are around 30-50bb at this phase and they seem to reshove very wide and they dont mind even an early position raise , if they dont reshove then they will call all my steal attemps and then call my cbets , i will either get reshoved or end up in a multiway pot or even if i end up HU i will somehow get all ined to my cbets or 3-bets.

I havent encounter this before to such extent , players resist a lot and i find myself 2 or 3 barreling a lot out of tilt , there is no other way to throw them out of pots, it feels like i should switch to a super tight style at this phase but i dont think that would be correct because the pressure is bigger at ante phase and you have to continue win pots and play loose.

The worst thing about reshove is that if i get pushed out 1-2 times then the rest of the table will notice this and they will join the party and im never sure if they have a good hand or they just abuse my steals and i may end up do a bad call.

I dont know whats the correct strategy for these situations but i know one thing for sure playing a basic lag strategy will cost you a lot , you have to enter in the pot rarely and safely with the intention to push on any edge you will find or else you will surely lose it. im thinking to even quit regular steals from button or cuttoff or even hijack and try instead to defend my blinds through check-raises and either overlimp or play a supertight strategy from other positions. Im not sure if such strategies would work but either way im kinda mad about this whole thing.

How do you people handle these situations?

PS: i talk about the 3$ large field mtts with the 3k starting stack.

Alot of things you said, your opponents may also say about you. They are trying to do the same thing you are -win the pot. It is like a game of chicken. See who swerves first.

With tournaments, variance is high. All you can do is play your best, and hope the poker gods take care of you.

If these players are re stealing your steals , then you have to figure out with what hands they are doing this with. For example if you open raise from CO but the BTN 3bets you with a high frequency , you need to adjust and start 4betting lighter than usuall. If Villain s 3bet stats on the BTN are say 50% i would start to 4bet with 40% of my hands or fold.
Also you need to figure out what stacks are shoving on you , generally a stack of 20-30 big blinds is a good stack for restealing, so you should also start doing what their doing.
On a very agressive table when anties come into play , you can not just tighten up and wait for premium , as you will most probably beblinded out, you have to adjust to how the table is playing and fight agression with agression.
