I know most people play regular sng over fifty50 sng but I sometimes feel that fifty50 ones are more profitable as half the table wins something and if you play tight you can easily win especially in normal speed.
What are your opinions i'd like to know and learn which one is better.

The problem with the double or nothings is that you have to win the majority of them to be profitable. Additionally, because of the nature of the game, you'll have players typically play more conservatively. Takes considerable patience.

You can win here and there. just a turbo game more dynamic.

In the past, I had played fifty fifty many times both turbo and normal $1.50.

Even though half gets rewarded, the game is still hard even if you play tight because majority are also tight.

You can be tight only in the beginning. Then blinds are growing quite quick and eating your stack. If you haven't luck to double-treble with nuts, you must dangerously risk to survive anyway.

another problem with fifty fifty is the bubble. if you end up a small stack at the bubble you could end up with the entire table playing against your shove since they only need one of those guys to beat you for all of them to get equal money.

I play double or nothings a while back and I just couldn't quite have a big enough win percent for it to be worthwhile.

Isn't hard to beat the rake long term in DoNs? I'm not a super math guy but my thoughts have always been that since everything that has been mentioned already about tight play and the bubble is well known or easily figured out, one hasn't much of advantage no matter how well one can read situations in which to apply pressure... to my mind the key to winning/surviving them. So if the rake is 10-15%, would you not need at least that amount of an edge to stay competitive?

I play 50 50 to just increase my bankroll to get a level ahead in Heads up games. Yes, heads up game has more variation than any other format. But, i will help you to make a good tournament player.

On the other side, you are going to become a nit if you continue playing 50-50 more.

You can earn your livelihood with 50-50 but you have to play other games as well.

Like 6:3 ratio... 6 50-50 games or 3 games of any other format you want to play in sit and gos. I prefer heads up and 6max because it give me a ability to read hands of my opponent rather than playing my holding hands.

It will help you to successfully bluff in many pots and it also help you to win a pot according to its texture.

If you have any doubt in understanding anything above, then tell me. Actually, my English is not so good.

In my opinion, the safety play fifty50. Quickly want to win a lot of people, and his mistakes and can be used to win a lot. If you want to be superniva elite, I recommend you hyper S & G.

Personally I find the fifty50 to be more profitable than regular SNGs. They are better than regular DONs because you can get a relatively large win and more than double your buyin, whereas with regular DON you only ever get to double your money at best.
