I entered in a 25rebuy to win a 7.70 to the Beast sat on ACR.I re bought(double rebuy) 4 times plus my entry of .27.The tables were very aggressive and there were a total of only 18 people in the tourney.I thought that if i made the last 9 i had a shot at one of the 3 tickets.Turns out i did.
My question to to you who play these tourneys. What is the general thinking of how many rebuys before you cut your losses and run.My thinking was it was still lower than the actually 7.70 for the ticket.
In short i think i did the right thing but will this practice be profitable in the long run?

Well for me once I've put in half of the buy In for the tournament I'm trying to win a seat to I'm done. Unless I think I stand an incredibly good chance of winning the seat for still under buy in price. But if only 1 seat is guaranteed and there is 1 guy with 20x as many chips as ur rebuy amount, it's time to call it quits on the tourney

My total investment 2.50 for the chance at one of the 3 guaranteed tickets. It ended up being 5 tickets.I didn't have the same luck with the next sat though. Was all in with AQ and hit trips to have a a guy call with suited connectors.
I agree with you J,i had in my head that i wasn't spending more than half the price of the ticket.I just wanted some imput if that was standard practice for a rebuy.I'm no pro by any stretch of the imagination.I enjoy the game plain and simple.
I appreciate your opinion.TY
