Hey furlongs stay away from rebuys. They are bad news and designed by the poker sites to maximise their rake. Stick to freezeout games.
This is one of the best posts I've read. If you have to keep rebuying you are starting at the bottom while others are already making big stacks (from people like you). Good one Nick.Rebuys ... freerolls on expensive steroids ...
Interesting comments - buy, rebuy and more rebuy... rebuy as often as you can for lots of chips. Doh .. listen to what you're saying. If you are rebuying over and over, you HAVE NOT accumulated a huge stack. Your stacks keep disappearing and you keep rebuying more. Buying more chips over and over and over doesn't make you a bigger stack, but it sure improves your opponents.
By the time you rebuy numerous times and pay for an add-on, you have probably put yourself in a position that you not only need to make it ITM, you MUST go deep to break even.
I won't play them very often, and when I do it is for the original buy-in ('maybe' one rebuy) and the add-on. Best MTT value around. Payout percent table stays the same, and you re-buyers just keep bumping up the pool and what I win by playing a good game.

There isn't one correct method to play re-buys. If you try reading up about it - start with the CC rebuy sections in the strategy articles tab up near the top right corner of this page - you will find that different strategies work better depending on whether (for example) it is a freeroll with rebuys, a buy-in with unlimited rebuys or a buy-in where only one rebuy and one add-on is allowed. The CC strategy articles also give various strategies you can use, depending on how comfortable you are with loose play. Your "correct method" sounds fairly disastrous to me, as long as you are happy with it that's fine, but I don't think I'll be adopting your strategy any time soon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The correct method for rebuys is to be wild and rebuy often if the prize pool allows for it. The better you are the more chips you want at your table when the rebuy /add-on ends.

I never rebuy in tourments cuase if i loose ina tourment that quick i shouldnt rebuy
Never have seen one of these. OMG. What site has a freeroll with rebuys? What do you 'rebuy' with? What's the payout?
I have seen those, Nick. Entry is free, but you rebuy with cash. It basically means that the players with money in their accounts have an edge over the bums.
The most famous one is probably the Bodog $500 freeroll, but there are some other ones on some of the smaller networks, too.
