Are someone of you playing regularly re-buy tournaments. You have any method for playing it? Because for me are worse than freerolls.
Almost every hand ends with 3-5 all-ins. :D

I'm generally talking about re-buy tournaments with low buy-in. Don't know if in tournaments with higher buy-in is the same.

What problem if
Almost every hand ends with 3-5 all-ins
?
Strong regular players don't play these tournaments. You catch their bad all-ins with good hand, collect big stack and cruelly punish them. And don't fear of re-buys, it all goes to prize fund.

But even with monster hand you have big chance to loose against so many opponents. And not every tournament you get a monster. ;)

I normally avoid re-buy torunaments, but only wonder if someone play them with succes.

I do not like this kind of tournaments because most people play all in with all types of hands even if it is a very weak hand ... the simple fact of knowing that they can make repurchases of chips allows them to play poker as if it were Bingo ... the game loses its spirit.

I have been playing freerolls with rebuys. I am patient and let people try to buy the pot and try to get chips where I have room to gamble with the people who want to rebuy. I play aggressively tight until I get enough chips to not have to go all in to call people.

I played one last night. I generally don't rebuy but I'm currently doing a bankroll challenge. I have played 4 tourneys this week. Last night I rebought twice. $2+.20. Spent $6 I got 4th of 220 people. Worth it. Others I did not rebuy I got 1/91 in a $3 tourney and 4/131. I've had a good week. Just have to feel out the tourney. If there is a bunch of fish. I will rebuy with confidence I can get in the money

The tournaments with repurchase are for me to understand tournaments where as in many cases I would only make the repurchase once because being tournaments is long and we have to take into account that the itm had to cover in advance the expense provided in it. Because if it did not make sense

I usually just wait until the last min before late registration ends, then take the rebuy + add-on option.

I don't really like re-buy tourneys. Just trying to avoid them. Tournaments without add on and re-buy last shorter and I like them more.

In micro's it is common. I like to play, it's good to triple your stack fast. As the buy-in is higher, the quality of the game is as well. Obviously it is a loose game and more run.

That is pretty standard. People go all in trying to get an average or big stack and so they can make a deep run.

I particularly do not like unlimited re-buy tournaments, because for those who have a low bankroll they already start at a disadvantage.

no I am not playing that tournament anymore I tried SPLASH on PS and in mine point of view the unlimited rebuys turns it to bingo game because all-iners with good bankroll on the game have more chances to double their chips with all-in &rebuys

These tournaments are so, so choose your best hands and become a little fish I know that is not easy because you can give a preflop but are the risks that there to run with this tournaments.

I have often wondered if this is a good option. How many BB would you have, when you begin playing? I suppose I could observe a game to find out.

I have only played a rebuy tournament once. The very first hand, 3-9 flopped 3-3-9 to hammer my all in A-A. My only rebuy lasted three or four hands. My K-K came up against 2-2 and the flop K-2-2. I can remember my exact comment. Only two words. The second word was “this” and I had better not repeat the other word here. LOL. I have since avoided rebuy tournaments like The Plague.

I try not to play such tournaments: the players often go all-in and when they lose immediately makes re-buy or make it very slowly... But I understand the organizers of these tournaments: they raise good money

I play poker because I like the mind factor of the game. And in the unlimited rebuy tournaments there are a lot of bingo players. The quality of the game decrease a lot.
I only play this kind of structure if I have a ticket.

Think of the buy-in as 4x the buyin and bankroll manage with that amount in mind.

Do not rebuy more than twice. Why twice and not three times? The reason you calculate 4x buy-in is the payment to 'boost' your stack that happens at break for anyone around average or slightly below it.
