Here's another good question... how much $ are you willing to spend on one tournament? How many times do you think you should re-enter or re-buy until enough is enough?

For a 1.10 R+1A. You should buy in double to start, so 2.10, then add on at the break for $1. Also, depending on if you want to or not, you can add a couple of rebuys for if you donk out early. I think it all depends on your play style, the looser and more aggro, the more likely you are gonna either chip up fast or bust early and have to rebuy.

Value is the key for me

First post :)

I only try to play Rebuy/Addon tournaments that are providing a good guarantee. For example, Bovada runs $3.30 R&A with a 1K guarantee - I take the initial addon to double my stack size and then allow myself 2 rebuys. The two rebuys are either a bustout and double my stack again $6.60, or two single rebuys if I dip below the starting stack. These can be tricky fields because of the aggressiveness that is caused with rebuys and reckless players - so the first two orbits of any new table are critical to not making a bad play early in the tournament.

Hope this helps!:D

In these tournaments, the beginning is very easy to find paying players with bad hands, folding, and often get you.
So I think it is best to make two purchases at the beginning, to double the stack, and then go playing, trying to make a good balance to the time of the add-on.

An important and highly overlooked aspect of rebuy strategy is that each time we rebuy we really haven't lost anything since that $ goes directly into the prize pool (without the rake) increasing the overall "Prize Pool Pot odds". This not only increases the the payout structure but also motivates others to "chase" by rebuying as well, essentially multiplying our investment many times over. :D :p
