Blinds 100/200 - no ante
2 Limpers: about 4k stack sizes each + were limping a decent amount
I was delt: AKo in the cutoff position ( my stack size about 10k )
BB: also had about 10k

My raise was 600 and the BB and One limper called
--BB Called with: K9o
--Limper had: Kh8h

Flop: Ks 9s 6h

My question is how much should I have raised preflop to isolate the limpers and not give the BB the odds to call a raise with K9s?

I didn't understand, was it 2 limpers before your time to act? If so you were supposed to raise 3bb plus 1 bb for each limper so in this case 5bb 1000chips. This way you gave them both better pot odds to call. Now completely different question is would they call a 5bb raise too, i think that a early position who call a raize with kx suited would call anyway, for the bb i dont know, if you were raising often from late position he might thought that you were stealing but in that case i would 3 bet in his place so knowing how he acted i also think that hd would call 5bb raise to... You cant escape getting into situations like that specially in tourneys, playing after flop would made the difference would you lost less or more in that situation...

4x-6x with 2 limpers and such deep stacks. Unless BB is defending sooooooo loose that he's defending K9o against a 4x open, esp with no antes.
This bet sizing might also induce some spaz play from the limpers seeing they can chip up over 25% if they shove and you fold.

Sounds to me like these two guys are calling stations if they will call that raise w/those hands.

Bad beats are a part of the game, your bet could have been around 4xBB-6xBB depending on the players image, from the looks of it they seem like calling stations so a 3xBB raise is acceptable. These situations hardly occur, your game seems like it was just starting early despite you losing chips that hand it shouldn't discourage you from making the right raises calling stations don't last very long

In general (this is a blanket statement, but as a default this is what I'd do) my preflop raise is approx 2.5x and for each limper in front of me I add one BB... I think this is a decent rule of thumb, so as for your example, with two limpers already in the pot, I would make it 2.5bbs + 2 bbs or 4.5 bbs... 900 preflop is what I'd make it....

All that being said, if you know their hole cards, you wouldnt be that opposed to getting some action from these hands :)
