In an earlier post I stated that I have not played in a long time and I am picking poker back up. I have about 3000 hands under my belt and I was wondering if I could get some feed back as to how you all think I am doing so far. I know I am not playing as well as I once was and I am studying and playing as much as possible to get better. And by the way this place is great for that, I am lurking here all day. Thanks all ready :)

Questions,,, What should I post for you guys to get a general Idea of my game play? And where should I post it IE what forum section? I only as that because it is not just a hand i want you all to look at (HA forum) but my stats in general.

Any and all help is sooo appreciated

Thanks

Most people just start their own thread in either the cash game or tournament section and ask someone to check their stats for them. You really don't want to put it in the HA sub-section since you're not asking for critique on any one hand in particular.

As far as what to post; it can depend to some degree on what you're trying to work on or are having trouble with. But, you'll most likely want to include the basics such as Vpip/Pfr/AF. You'll also want to have that broken down by position. If you're using HM1 just go to Cash Games>reports>position is a good place to start. PT3, I really have no idea, but search for/create a report that has your main stats broken-down by position and post it in your new thread.

mtts and mtt sngs are very spot dependent. it's not like cash where you can look at someone's stats and tell them they need to raise more, etc, and that's enough. while it is somewhat possible to see if you aren't stealing enough/3betting enough, your stats will be different at every stage of each tournament (and at different stack sizes, etc)
