If he has AK we have almost a coin flip
If he has KK or AA we are lost
If he has QQ we are playing to tie
What is the good situation here? Since is early in the tournament I prefer to fold.
If his range is QQ+ AK, you're about a 3:2 dog. If it's TT+ AQ+, you're ahead about 11:9. If it's 88+ AJ+ KQ, you're ahead by a bit better than 3:2.
While I don't object to folding, considering the dead money in the pot, it's not the worst spot in the world to call or even to shove, especially if it's a micro-buyin or freeroll where it's not unknown for people to overplay good but not great hands early on.
