I've been playing $5.50 and $7.70 MTTs and have been using push/fold charts to determine when I move all-in with a short stack. However, I've recently been running into situations where there is action ahead of me - this is not a factor that the push/fold charts take into account. Up until now, I would just go with my gut instinct, but I'm starting to wonder if there is any information/help for this.
Is there a more in-depth table/guide to push fold strategy somewhere ? Or any rule of thumb for how previous action affects the strategy?
e.g.
-five big blinds with A4s in UTG+1 position after the UTG player limps in
-four big blinds left behind with 73s in BB position after the UTG player limps in and the UTG+2 player raises to 3.5xbb
-three big blinds left behind with JTo in SB position after the UTG player raises to 2xbb
I folded in all three hands, but I'm not sure that they were correct folds.
