I've changed my strategy before I start a tournament. I have about 4 pages of bullet points that I go over now before EVERY tournament. Because of this, I've started placing more often than not. It think that I pause and get my brain in poker mode. Does anyone else have some sort of pre-tournament activity?

This is a very good point, but unfortunately I don't follow it as I'm too lazy (definitely going to fix it).
I read some poker book where it was advised to listen your favorite music as it puts you in a comfort zone, to set your overall goals and goals for the session, also to visualize your game (your open ranges from each position, 3bet ranges, post-flop situations, etc.)
I also believe that it is a good idea to start your poker day with playing 1 table and then adding one by one when you feel ready.

This is an awesome thought. After i bust out of most tournaments, I end up kicking myself because i know the mistake I made. It's tough when your in the heat of the moment to remember but this is a good practice.

The same situation. But often playing correctly, you still lose.

We all get frustrated and unfortunately loose. This exercise only takes me like 5 minutes and helps me to move on from the last game. I'm hoping that after reading it a 100 or maybe 1,000 times it will become second nature. That would be awesome.

One more thing. Whatever it is that I know I shouldn't have done, I write it as bullet point (if it doesn't exist already).

I dream of wired Aces or Kings. haha but to be serious, just make sure I tell myself not to get tilted if i lose a hand where i should have won. that its a marathon not a sprint are the main ones.

To prepare for the game, to direct all thoughts in the right direction, I watch some motivational videos before the game. My favourite is Ben Affleck's motivational speech from the movie "Boiler Room"

I like to make sure I am rested and have food in me, then I turned on my favorite music and get to grinding.
