There are a lot of variables to consider such as board texture, position, player types, raising and calling ranges etc.

I recommend Jonathan Little's first book on tournament strategy.

Also the Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand at a Time series is good.

You can check some reviews of poker books on Amazon as well. There may be some cash game books that are more appropriate.

My first tournament book was Dan Harrington, I do not regret it :)

Playing in position is the best way to exploit bad players, since your always gaining there chips and minimising your losses.

Q can you exploit there mistakes*
A. If they are aggressive raising alot out of position target these players with strong hands in position and spec hands for cheap IP.
Contrastly if they are tight, get involved isolate these guys steal the pots.

any good Books - Kill everyone and youtube :) - Gripsed

I'd also recommend Harrington on Hold Em

generically speaking I'll C-bet when I'm heads up 2/3 of the pot 2/3 of the time.

I don't use the strength of my hand to determine when to bet or how much to bet, I use the board texture. dry boards are good. 1 big card and 2 small cards no obvious draws etc.

If you are heads up and you have position and they check to you, you should consider betting a fair amount of the time. maybe 50%

In multiway pots, simply do not continue without a strong hand or a nice draw and be very careful with top pair type hands in a multi way pot.

I believe your original post in pretty broad. We would need to take into factor pre-flop play, position, and what cards are in. If you are pre-flop aggressor and only get called and first to act with only 2-3 post flop, 99% make a c bet, but again give us a specific scerario;poker is too situational for this.

Situations are so varied based on the board texture, type of opponent etc. You need to play the player. Ie. if someone plays fit or fold on the flop, you want to cbet them 100% of the time because they are only going to connect with the flop about 1/3rd of the time, and if they call you can safely give up without a hand. But if another player likes to float a lot of flops in order to try and take it away on later streets, you might need to double-barrel them more often to get a fold. These are only 2 examples; post flop play is so complex, there is no way to sum it up in a few words.

go to deuces cracked and watching running the streets and mathematics of no limit holdem, and from the ground up for a start

sounds like you need a good foundation

there is no book, trick, training video, ect that will fully answer this

your basically asking how do i play poker

and the answer is well by working at it
