How many people Has this happen too.
We Live In A world of Impulsiveness
I find Myslef Doing it Alot in the past few days.
Getting Good Cards But Just Being Impulsive and Over playing AK and getting burnt. when i should be slow playing them once in a while..
But how many times have you been so close to placeing money 2 tables left
Chip Leader Folding Every Hand telling yourself your gonna Fold until final table then after 15mins of folding U get a A7 and play it agro or you Get your Pocket Aces and go all in and you get Cracked and lose everything..
ANd you beat yourself over not sticking to your game plan it happens to me almost once a week..
I find it hard to control Myself after playing so many hrs of poker it seems like you can just go into a mental state where you are not aware of what you are doing and kinda go into this auto pilot state of mind where sometimes you dont relize what you are doing until it is too late but lets be honest..
if you are a poker player How often do you really sitout and leave your computer when your CHip leader or even if your not becuase you dont want to miss out on getting that AA or AKs hand... I want to hear your thoughts on this mental bordem state that i know im not the only one who gets it

No you are not alone. We all have done that. I still do it sometimes, but it's something I'm trying to do something about. When you know part of what is going on, you need to start working on that now. Then as you go along, post what is happening and let us help. For me, I have learned to fold AK and others in the right position and what the bet is. Just ask yourself every hand is it worth the cost to call or raise. Like a player in MP bets half of his stack, and you are on the button with AK and you are chip leader. Well do you raise and put him all in and maybe double him up, or just call and see the flop, and all good if you hit, and then get the rest of his chips. Don't be to proud to fold AK post-flop.

A big cure for this is taking a genuine interest in the game itself, not just your involvement. When you're actually interested in what's going on at the table, it is much easier to fold. Do you enjoy reading other players? If you can view poker as a spectator, why not dump weak hands or avoid risks, so you can pay attention to the action.

I mean it doesnt always happen with bad cards either you can lose your stack with good cards too also I normally have multi tables going too so i think i need to work on folding to final tables more becuase KK QQ near final table always burn me. but when multi tableing your not focused on other players and i dont use a HUD right now

I used to always play multiple tables, strictly because it would keep me from getting bored and overplaying to press action. There are advantages and disadvantages, but they all really depend on your mood, style and temperament. If you're getting bored very easily, you shouldn't be playing at that moment, that's just my opinion.

Instead of playing trash / marginal hands and getting in terrible spots, fold and use the opportunity to watch other players and scout tells and exploits. Pay attention to hands you're not in to get info on everyone.

If we are going to autofold KK and QQ because we're nearing the final table we're definitely on the wrong track.
When nearing a FT in a tournament pay special attention to that game and play ABC on the other tables for a while.

Not really sure why as a chip leader you would be folding every hand, when you can put so much pressure on people and increase your stack even more. I think I'm missing something
