I won a seat to Sunday Storm 8th Anniversary Tournament and I need some tips or pointers on how to have the best showing possible. I played several SCOOP tournaments and min cashed twice but I think this will be a lot different and I need to do better.
I only have a couple weeks to prepare. So suggestions for study material, just general tips, or any pointers. I will appreciate any advice I get, especially from the members I see in the races and staking threads that play these tourneys almost every week.
Thanks in advance.

The way I won the seat was I played a $.75 Sunday Storm 8th Anniversary spin and go. I won a $2.20 satelite ticket then I won the satelite. So got my seat for 75 cents and want see whats the most I can get for my tiny investment.

I will also take part in this tournament and passed satellites in due time. I have only one piece of adviceYou should try to show your best game and the qualities that you already have. all must give 100%. and most importantly, without panic. play like a regular tournament. alternative styles depending on positions and information about opponents.
the field will be large but recreational players will quickly leave. but there will be many more re-entrances. therefore, the main thing is to start your stack well and increase by the middle of the tournament
I wish you victory .[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

In this tournament there is the possibility of re-registration, so you definitely need to have money to re-enter. So you will feel more confident !!! here you can check the statistics of the players to know who is playing against you at the table !!!
I think it will not be superfluous either))

Play Spin & Go for 0,75cents
It looks the easiest to win the entrance

A large field means huge variance. Understand it and accept it. Play your regular game and have fun. After all, even if you lose 75c not a big deal. Play to win, not to min-cash.

The most important, don't be scare! Play to win not to earn the lowest prize. Don't look at wchich place you are. Observe your stack, Mfactor, think about range your opponents. You have to be rest, eat some delicious and healthy dinner. Prepare some snacks, and coffeine. Stay focus on goal.

This is very good advice!

I’d like to add that studying is also a great idea like OP mentioned. The Sunday storm has a structure that will benefit from any general MTT studying, so reading articles or perhaps finding videos that are even of skilled players in this popular tournament.

Hope you have a lot of fun and run deep! :)

There are restrictions on the number of re-entrances up to a certain period of time. in total, it will be possible to make 3 repeated entries during the late registration period.

Hi katie , if i may ask , for the first 2/3 hours it is best to avoid bluffing because even if well executed you might get called with small/medium pairs by players that have a hard time folding any hands , and be super patient playing only good hands from good positions until the registration is closing soon and you start playing your game and using that nit image you got to your advantage ?

Not necessarily tickets. you can simply invest $ 33 for this tournament and you will have the opportunity to make 3 entries.
give thanks. and all the best to you[emoji23] [emoji106] [emoji112] [emoji110] [emoji812] [emoji813] [emoji814] [emoji815]

Good question! I wouldn’t go into the tournament with a plan of bluffing, rather would only do so if a great opportunity presents itself (usually this won’t be early in the tournament as bluffs are so often dependent upon information gathered about the specific opponent you decide to bluff).

Your general strategy sounds good, and make sure to play speculative hands when profitable. Such as if there’s an early position three BB raise the first level with full stacks, a call or two, and you have T9s on the button, I’d call (whereas we simply wouldn’t be deep enough to do that in an SNG or even MTTSNG).

There’s even a chance that with those hands the opportunity to make a little semi-bluff presents itself, particularly when we have position but it isn’t something I’d be looking to force. Keep in mind that having slightly more passive stats early than you have on the whole, due to playing these speculative hands is totally reasonable! Of course, always stay on top of the effective stack so that you don’t overdo it with speculative hands, especially as the tournament progresses. Hope this helps!

Thank you Katie. Ive been watching some youtube videos reviewing hands from Sunday tourneys. I think Ill go back through the PS School courses too. Lots of the players have probably been through them before.

I think the best advice just not in a hurry. Last Sunday Storm tournament I've played a month ago. I played on a table where some players played aggressively. And my hands almost every hand were very strong. Two full house on the flop in a row, and monsters. In a few minutes my stack became more than 30 thousand pieces. Then I'm just not in a hurry and ended up in the money. When I was not so lucky, I'm just waiting and watching the game on the table. The main thing not in a hurry.
