I think its more luck involved game therefore i dont like it
In this type of a tournament even if you havent got to prize-winning places, it is possible to win money.) On my thought it is the only plus of this tournament.
It seems to me there are many type of tournaments, as there are biscuits? Some people like KO tournaments, some don't, some people like custard creams, some don't. Personally, I would much rather play a KO tournament or a hyper-tournament, rather than a long tournament, with 3 hours late registration, with 30 minute blind levels......As they say its all horses for courses.
I have copied your two posts into mine, because I think 1.
Drowy, you are making a big mistake, that if you think these tourneys are all down to luck. There are different strategies, on how to play these games, most of which you will find in this forum.
2. Yes, the simple answer to your question
HEFOLK, you can win money in these tournaments even, if you don't reach the prize money. Imagine you are playing a $2.00 "bounty builder" tournament on Pokerstars. You and all your opponents start with a $1.00 bounty on your head. Each time you KO a player, (with a $1.00 bounty on his head) 50c goes on your head, and 50c goes into your
bankroll. So you only need to KO 5 opponents, with a $1.00 bounty on their head, and you've made 30c profit. That is not too difficult, and to be honest once you have quadrupled your starting stack, people start playing a wider range against you, and playing more aggressively, so just pick your spots and you'll soon be ITM, even if the bubble hasnt burst yet. Good luck :top:
