Next week I will visit the casino again and will try to win in a tourment with a field of 50 players (first 6 players will be in the money). Have tried this 2 times before and those times it didn't worked out that well for me.

The last time, I had in the first hour of the tourment (beginningstack 3000, blinds 25-25, 25-50, 50-100 in the first hour). A stack build of 9000 chips, but right after that I hitted a really nice hand against the other big stack at the table. I tought it was a full house with a pocket in my hand, but ofcourse I got beaten by an other pocket.

This time I want to play better, that is also why I want to study/read a bit more about all the different strategies people use. Or try to study some ways to be more quick in calculating the odds (I can do this already, but some bassic percentages are nice to know).

What ways to do this do you all recommend me to do. How can I studie those strategies (if it is possible for free ofcourse). Have read lots and lots of topics on cardschat and those were really helpfull, but want something that is more like a training.

Thank you all for the help!

Yesterday (2 hours ago) played my tourment. 50 players were in and I managed to get the 8th place. Sadly enough only the first 6 would get paid.
Still I am happy! Had a really nice time and I improved my game a lot in comperence with 2 months ago. Then I only reached the 30th place.

Really appreciate all the help I get (with getting better) on this forum and in the freerolls ofcourse, that is the place were you have to show all you have got.

There are lots of free resources out there to help players of different level to improve.

I personally enjoy watching twitch, there are actually a lots of pro poker players stream on the site daily at different hours. Tonka is probably the best MMT player that streams on twitch, check that out if that's your main focus.

There are a lot of good poker training sites out there and all has their pros and cons.

In my opinion, for beginners i would recommend PokerZion because its a good poker training site with an active forum and you can get free access before actually taking the course.

My advice: 1. Read all books about poker.
2. Look video with pro on they streams
3. Play poker.
4. Dont stop do 1,2,3
