re: Poker & Poker strategy
I have to be honest - it depends on the payouts and blind structure.
If there is just not much to win unless you win it all, I might get risky early and play very aggressive. Nothing worse than playing 3 hours for nothing at all. So, especially if not at least 12 minute blind levels.
If 12 or better blinds (deepstack @ 20 minutes would be great, but they are not cheap MTTs usually) I play L or T-AG.
Yet, with any game, I try to shift gears and stay unpredictable at all times. I also try to avoid betting tells
. When they have no idea if your 3x raise is garbage or AA, this has it's benefits. I also use bluffing as a specialized tool, not an overall strategy. I would rather induce or catch someone's bluff than bluff just for the sake of bluffing.
And then I sit down and all the above often goes straight to hell, lol.
