ok so im relatively new to the online poker scene only been playing about two months and ive only been playing poker since january 2013 ive constantly deposited 20$ and lost it all quickly but now im stuck at around ten dollars i basically play JUST $1.10 (for now) tourneys that have anywhere from 45-118 people in it and im starting to get sirious about online poker any advice/tips because i dont want to jump out of my seat when i win 5$ knowing i just increased my bankro by 50% lol
also do you think if i try really hard i can get in to freeroll club because every week on bovada cc is hosting a free $200 free roll where most of the time first prize is fifty dollars PLEASE READ IT ALL

If I were you I would put a few dollars on Carbon Poker or build a bankroll from the $50 freerolls they have. If you have money for Carbon every night at 9pm est they have a 50 cent, 25 cent and 10 cent NLH tournaments where each allow only a single rebuy and add-on if u wish.

thx i deposited 25$ from them and im down like 3.25 dollars partly because i dont really treat the low buy in tourney like a big one im trying to find that perfect amout of pressure on my self cuz if its over five dollars im worried if its above one dollar im a lil worried and if its below one dollar im not worried but i would go all in with qk or just wait for a great hand and then do it again and so on

Best bankroll management advice I can give you is take your bankroll and divide it by 50. That is the highest buy in you should play. You should practice your tournament play with freerolls and read a couple tournament poker books.

Your best chances of cashing at the freerolls is to do the one that starts at 7:00am, and the $25 freeroll that starts at 9:00pm. You can also try to do the horse freeroll since its harder for the donks to win.

Read about poker to help you learn but you also need experience. There are many theories about BR management and they generaly say to only risk 2-3% of you BR per tourney. When they say this, they mean after you have learned to play, which you haven't really. No offense, but you need experience. Try to think of the low buy-ins as though they were just as important as they would be if they were higher buy ins because for experience purposes they are nearly the same. Of course, as you go up in buy in amount, you have a corresponding increase in competition in the majority of players too. In the low buy-in tourneys, if you make it deep the skill level of the opponents will increase. As you gain knowlege through this forum and books, you will have the practical experience to understand and apply what you learn.

Good luck to you.

even the best bankroll management doesn´t help you, if youre not at least a break even player
(ok you can enjoy the games longer)
Do some study (forum, books etc.) and you have already a huge advantage vs. all the gamblers and donks out there :)

This seems like a no-win attitude. If it's true, it means you deliberately don't play your best at certain times, and if it's not true, it's probably a weak reason to try to at least partially justify that your game isn't yet good enough to beat the level you're playing.

its partly true what basically happens is i go all in with anything ten and up and if i win im lucky and then i do it all over again but i dont think thats the best strategy im gonna try carbons .10 cent tourney and ill tell yall what i place im also gonna play the free roll and tell yall what i place on that too :)

I started off the same as you. I agree with trying to build your bankroll from the freerolls, but I try and not play any MTT that cost more than 2-5% of total bankroll.

You have to try viewing your new poker playing commitment as a job and not a hobby.
