I need some advice please.
You are at the final table of a tourney with 2-3 left in. If all agree on deal making, how does one go about it?
I have plyed in tourneys where others have done the deal making with myself included, but have never actually made the deal myself.
I am specificallt talking about the set up at Full Tilt.

the split should be made according to icm, which gaves the shortstack more and the chipleader less than if you looked at as % of chips held

but if you think you have an edge why take the deal and if you think they got the edge -the icm deal would probably be ev positive

for me poker is playing for the win, you should always be that self-confident to say, i can take it down to the end. For me i have never been to a situation in which a deal was made on final table.

I had to deal with deals just a couple of times, so I like to play the tournament to the end, and if all agreed to a deal, the moderator usually says who and how much money claims, and then the players are already thinking to accept them or not

back in day took a couple deals at stars and tilt basically was the short stack by a ton not lack of confidence was more people offered decent offers better then would have gotten say outside of top 3 etc.. positions so was worthwhile but take time I have leaving money at a table myself so be wise are you catching cards card dead tired too many hours playing poorly etc..

then consider doing deals

Never agreed to the deal. If you play, only to win!

That's not the question being asked, and I'm curious about this too..how are the deals actually done in online poker?

Just be the moderator and set up the deal by actual % of total chips held by each player.

Chip leader gets the most, short stack gets the least.

I've made a few deals on Full Tilt before it became illegal for me to play on.

but there needs to be someone to execute/oversee a deal, right?

At poker stars you need to call a moderator, and they will do all the work.

iirc
At Full Tilt if all remaining players at the final table agree by clicking the discuss deal check box, the full tilt software has a deal making section and one person does the actual working of the software and then if all agree to what has been proposed then you all click I agree button.

Well it depends if your short stacked or the big margin player. If short, go for the cut! If large, see if you can get more than the short stack of course

In order tobring it up, it is simple you just say hey fellows, and ladies, we have been playing, and I am just curious if you wanted to deal or finish... Afterwards you then request a certain way chip chop or icm.... but ultimately you only want to do it when u r in control..

I never like to make a deal. But if you do make sure it is to your advantage.

only take the deal if you think you are weaker than your opposition, or if you really need the money for living or survival, if you think you are likely to be better than it is better to try and go up the money yourself. also make sure the deal is in your favor, I have seen players make deals that were horrible for them because they got talked into it and thought it was actualy a good move.

Well, there has been many replies to my question, but as yet no one seems to have answered my question.
I have seen the FT deal maker format, but my question still stands, how do you fill it out to make a deal.?.
