Why would you think it might not be possible to make money playing them? If you're better than the opponents you face and exercise decent BRM, you'll make money in the long run. Just like at any form of poker.

The edge vs. weaker players is not so big like in regular sng´s, but you can play way more and have a higher hourly rate..

I asked because it seams to me that there's much more gambling situations on this type of tournaments. I don't have a very good strategy to play them. What can you recomend?

Right, the better players is forced into more "gambling" (maybe not the right word) but there is still tons of good money to be made - especially in multitable turbo sng´s with a good reg vs. fish ratio :)

Thanks for your reply Daniel72, I guess I'll try the multitalbe sitngos, because I'm playing in party poker wich has only turbo sitngos for the lowest limits.

And yes, probably gambling was not the right word, but it made the point :)

I would say if you're going to play turbo sng's, then play 6max. And always take advantage of 3 handed situations when up against two even stacks. Their range will be a lot smaller when next out is bubble. If that makes sense to you.

I think turbos are the hardest to play compared to superturbo or regular format. In turbos the blinds increase fast and is common to have 6 or 7 players with 11-12 BB stacks, which creates more difficult play since your not at the push/fold/pot committed stage and you don't really have enough chips to be burning off. Super turbo its pushfold rite away. Regular format you will see alot more hands and be able to be more selective of the spots you want to play. I like regular format, I think its most profitable if you under stand sng strategy.

The faster the structure, the greater the luck quotient in the short term. However, if you have a skill advantage, there's no apparent reason to expect any significant difference over a large sample size.

SnGs have become more reg infested the past few years as more grinders have become proficient playing them. Turbos allow you to play more per hour and while I haven't seen phenomenal ROIs since about 2009, a solid single digit ROI means you can still make decent cash. It turns into a volume game.

I have noticed that too. I wasn't playing too much for the las couple of years because I was a devoted Full Tilt player. Now I started to play again on pokerstars and it seams the players are better there. I guess I should get better on my game.

Wich room has the most profitable sitngo games right now?

I stopped playing turbos and turned to regular...what happened? "voila!" my bankroll doubled and it`s still regularly going upwards. Also, for me, I feel I get more poker for my money...

Having said that, I know some people specialize in turbos with profitable success. For me I think it turnes into a shove-fest and variance is bigger.

Meh I don't like turbos, don't like it being a shovefest and I feel poker is only played for the first 3 levels then everyone goes to tight nit mode, and if you have a fish after you you are pretty much ****ed as ya can't shove as wide as ya normally would cause he will just call you off, especially if he has a stack, and they generally do. One always makes it to the bubble at least..

The good thing about turbos is you only need to hit one big all in to pretty much guarantee a payout. Especially if you can do it later in the tourney. I prefer the double up turbos.

SNG's are great - if you don't mind the variance. You simply have to be aggressive - especially in the later parts of these. You get A rag ur shoving. Most cases ur up against KJoff or anther Arag. If you have a feel for ave hands vs above ave starting hands in an ever tightening environment u will do well. Simply know that you need one gd dbl up to cash. - You get down to half a stack ur shoving into the weakest spot in that orbit. You win you most likely take hoem some cash. you lose u move on to the next one and hope for AA early and often lol.
