I like playing suited connected, trick to it is not to over play. So many combinations and higher ranked combos tend to make me over play. If the flop brings a killer hand so will pot. When they hit it's a beautiful thing.
Over playing them like I do to much, and it don't hit you get caught with your pants down.

I agree with you, these kind of hands can hit pretty hard on a wet board and you can stack out a weak opponent who is not aware of the texture of the board and sticks to his overpair or something like that. Those hands are even good in order to 3bet semi-bluff against the late position blind stealer!

Yes, suited connectors is really nice hand, especually if you had two-sided Straight-draw and Flush-draw from the flop, but your opponent may catch not topPair but Set, and this situation will be not by your side..

My personal favorite suited connecter is 6-7. I've hit some huge pots with it but I too think I over play it and other suited connecter.

Playing suited connectors can be stack sucker if your not careful.

I tend to play those hands like small pocket pairs, limp in cheap see if you get a hand, if not fold with the least risk possible.

Very good hand for the game 3 bet, oddly enough, more than 50% having such a hand on the river collect flash, set, straight :) Excellent hidden hand for attack :)

One issue for me is that if I've have low suited connectors then I'm taking the risk of losing my flush because the cards are too low. I've lost several hands when a flush has been made but I have something like 78 suited.

Suited connectors could be vernyI good (when you hit them early) but if you are chasing must of the time you could lose your stack to those, just try be aware of what others could be holding.

Just learn to fold them when the flop misses you. Unless you have a read on a player.

i only play them i early stages of a tourney, they are very lucrative, if i hit hard i continue, and if i miss i fold them , and occasionally bluff with them. but when i go deep, i only play the top of my range.

The suited connectors are a weak hand that can be transformed into a strong postflop hand, they are a speculative hand and you will not always get a straight or a flush, but they also serve to polarize a raise range and 3bet

I like these hands. Such hands are called speculative, these hands play better against many opponents. many opponents create bigger pots. but sometimes these hands are unprofitable (for example 65s or J9s) when playing against single opponents

Suited connectors are, in fact, draw hands, that is, they need improvement to win on showdown, and in most cases they will need to improve to a flush or straight.

I think all of us like to play suited connectors, and there are some real reasons discussed above. So be it.

I agree that you have to fold them and not chace the draws. Hitting a pair with your low suited cards and play them like this will lose you in a long run

Suited connectors are the hands that I look for to try to win a big pot. It is true that a lot of people miss play them. I do not always play them like I do 90% of the time. You have to vary your play.A big mistake that people make is that when they find aces or kings they usually want to win a monster pot with them and they fall in love with their hand. Unless you flop your 8-1 shot they are not as powerful as people like to play them, especially if in a multi way pot. I think that would be a much bigger mistake to focus on than the way that people play suited connectors.

Suited connectors can have great equity, these kinds of hands should be played in multiway pots (more than 2 players in a pot), the more players in the pot the more you can realise your equity. You can have some tricky situations an need to be able to lay down top pair when you kn ow you're out kicked (which a lot of players will have massive leaks here). But suited connectors can be very profitable when learned to play in right situations.

The beauty of suited connectors is that they balance your raise/3bet range. This means that when the flop comes low, it's very believable that you hit the flop and your opponent probably has big cards. Eventually your opponent will catch on to the fact that you are willing to play the middle/small cards and you can use that to your advantage. I really like the range of 5-10 connectors and one gapers. Those hands hit a lot of flops.

I play suited connectors early, usually , in a tournament , when I have big stack , many blinds , and I can manage the losses by playing these hands , cause it's difficult to catch something good at the flop , or in position , with many players the better , and I prefer the higher ranks cards . It's true , when you catch on the board and your suited connectors are made into a monster hand , it's awesome :)

Good cards to play, but you cannot chase a gut shot off the flop, even a open ender can bleed you dry if the price is not right. my personal favorite is when someone is on a flush/str8 draw and miss, then bomb the river as a bluff and get snapped off by tptk or a set.

Suited connectors very rarely flop the best hand, the nut hand, so to speak. How you like that?

Suited Aces like A2s+, AK & AQ or pocket pairs 22+ flop big monster nut hands or miss all together witch is good because you get the hell out early and don't get in a bind with the flop start chasing draws and things like that.

The secret is don't get sucked in for more bets after the flop looking to make the draw. Once you have to draw it means you are behind and that is 25:75 dog at the best.

Hold'em is a flop game. If you didn't figure out this by now you'll have a hard landing on your money. The flop is the joint of the game. It's the fat belly where the action and the money gets printed.
