I totally do not like playing with small connectors. It's basically called "Looking for Trouble". What happens if you get a straight and someone has a bigger straight? Would you fold? Not only that, if you get something good and then suddenly someone gets something better. Would you fold your hand? That's why I don't really like playing with small connectors.
early phase, they do not serve much, but if I like to play them, they are good at intimidating or even good at bluffing or many times I have connected ladder with them
Love a suited connector. The lowest I will go is 56 good for getting paid from ppl with a A-234or 5 what I mean is if opponent has A5 and board is 234 I have been paid a good few times this way. Plus suited connectors r always well disguised I like 2 gappers as well .. 79 57 J9 all have been profitable for me.
I play them sometimes. Depending on position and how much I need to pay for seeing the flop. If the pot odds are good why not. U can be looking for trouble. But if u hit a straight nobody expects u have the low straight
Its all depend to the opponent and your position... if i was in the last positions to play and no one call i certainly play small conectors, but you have to take care against the big because he can play with any 2 and have small conectors too
These cards definitely have value to them when played right. Best to play in late position because you can manipulate pots with bets that disguise your hands based on how youve played previous hands. WHen a player sees you play AK similar to preflop with 67 that gievs you an element of disguise to your game
you have the right idea that they are stronger in the earlier phase of the tournament, although i would say they are okay to play as long as you do not have to jeopardize too large a portion of your chips. I usually wont play small connectors if it takes to much of my chips.
I actually love playing small suited connectors because of the fact that they are virtually invisible when you hit and if you miss it's really easy to throw them away.
it's awesome when u have some lucky on flop, but depends on your stack... it's hard decision cause a chance do to a straight its not so high... but eventually, especially when u have confident about, its great to take some chances e try, why not, its poker right hahaha
As a poker player you have an obligation to play these types of hands…….. lol
But take heed, it all depends on various factors, such as your position, how many other players have joined the pot, have there been raises or re-raises before you go in.
And lastly, after the flop, if you do not make a solid connection with the board, you walk away, not wasting any more of your precious chips.
